The itinerary includes all important towns and events, the cathedrals and the Count's private home are only two of the historical items to mention. The Unesco sites are an important part of the tour itinerary. It seems that on this tour Everyone took park in the optional events, so I think that's important to keep as well. Ernesta included extra information which is one of the reasons we travel with Insight. She was very prepared each day and actually several days ahead Ernesta filled everyone in with what we were doing and how long it would be. Driver Antonio handled the bus exceptionally well and was so polite.

Well paced. Busy but time to rest and do your own thing. Local guides were awesome and tour director was top notch! Food was great too and I’m from an Italian background.

The itinerary includes a number of UNESCO World Heritage sites, all very interesting. Aside from the day travelling to Sicily, there was lots of time to sight see with the local guides. Lunch breaks were never rushed with plenty of time to eat, enjoy local wines and/or shop. The optional tours were well organized and interesting. The optional dinners were fabulous and several times included as many as 14 different dishes. The Masseria farm to table dinner held under a vine covered trellis was particularly memorable.

A very enjoyable and interesting tour. Notwithstanding the half day visit to Livorno, which was somewhat uninspiring, the itinerary was well thought out, and fully met our expectations. We saw wonderful sights, ate delicious food, and drank lovely wines in the company of a great group of fellow travellers. The tour leader Antongiulio, was a charming young man, with a great sense of humour, who readily shared his vast knowledge on the many places that we visited. Mention must also be made to our driver, Stephane who safely drove us throughout most of the tour. Grazie Antongiulio and Stephane.

Ernesta F. is a great travel director. The local guides are all phenomenal as well. We saw a variety of sites ; for example I loved going to the olive oil farm. The food was great as well. It was indeed meticulously organized. Thank you. Michael

It is full on but very interesting. Would have liked to had Malta added as it apparently was in 2024 and could be in 2026. Disappointing we needed to do this as a separate tour.
