Book this guided, private, 10-hour scuba diving trip and see one of the most remarkable shipwrecks off the coast of Indonesia. Meet and your driver at your accommodation between 7:00 to 7:15 am. Head for Tulamben, where the USS Liberty Shipwreck scuba diving takes place.
Reach this small fishing village in north-eastern Bali at 10:00 am. Apart from being home to the shipwreck, Tulamben plays host to some of the most popular diving areas in Indonesia. It is also the place where you can find one of the best muck dives in Bali, Seraya Secret, which holds an abundance of small species, including some very rare specimens such as pygmy seahorses and ghost pipefish.
After receiving instructions from your guide regarding diving techniques and safety, don your wetsuit, secure your oxygen mask and dive into the ocean. The USS Liberty shipwreck lies between 5 and 30 meters below the surface. The wreck is 120m long and located just 50 meters off the shore of Tulamben.
Your first dive will last for around 35 minutes. Take rest and have lunch before diving into the water again. The wreck is covered with corals and has an abundance of marine life around it. See a variety of fish, including ghost pipe and frog fish, and pygmy seahorses. You might also come across a school of bump-head parrot fish that uses the wreck as their private bedroom.
Swim to the surface after half an hour under water. Shower in the open-air shower facility and change clothes. Drive back to your accommodation. Reach there by 5:30 in the evening.
