About Us
SUBMARINER DIVING CENTER is the first PADI 5 Star Dive Resort and PADI TecRec Resort in El Nido, Palawan Philippines, which is operated by the German Ronny Oliwka who is PADI MSDT and PADI Tec Deep Instructor. Submariner is also certified as AQUALUNG PARTNER CENTER who offers high standard in Diving and Education as well as diving gear branded by AQUALUNG and APEKS. Not only the Equipment considers a high standard. Also the Staff is highly qualified and we keep international standards. For us diving is Fun and Joy and that´s what we want to experience to our Guests. We are located directly in the middle of the Main Beach of El Nido. Just visit us and learn more about us and diving. Started in November 2012 Submariner is also offering Palawan Diving Safaris to Port Barton and to the World famous WW2 Wreck destination Coron with a 60ft. Liveaboard. After Diving we welcome you at the 1st floor in our Bar & Restaurant “Habibi Restaurant & Shisha Cafe” where you can hang out and enjoy great Food, Drinks and maybe a Shisha after your Dive or in the evening and chat with great People.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE
When you dive with Submariner everything is easy. All you do is on arrival come to our shop sit down and we will do the rest. We carry your Equipment to the boat set it up and will help you into your scuba unit. After the dive don’t even think about walking your kit back to the shop the Submariner Team will do that all for you. Apart from the obvious safety issues associated with heavy exertion and lifting after diving we believe that as you are on holiday you should have the hard work done by someone else. We will also rinse your kit at the end of the day. You just go up to our bar, relax, have a drink and our Instructor and Divemaster Team will join you to fill in your Logbooks and talk about your day of Diving.
FUN
You as the customer are the most important thing to us. We do everything to ensure that you will have the best time on your vacation in El Nido! We believe the diving here is amazing and we want to show you the best of what we have. We know you will have the most fun with us quite simply because everyone here from the owners to the boat staff love diving and we all dive on a regular basis. The staff are always laughing and joking with each other and with you which makes the boat a fun place to be.
And the fun doesn’t end with diving. The dive shop is right on the beach and is a relaxing place to hang out. There is always someone around for a chat or you can grab a drink and browse through our Fish ID books and dive magazines or just browse in our free Wi-Fi. Our bar & restaurant is a great place for beer and has a lively Happy Hour and evening crowd. Habibi Restaurant & Shisha Cafe is open all day for drinks, meals and if you like an Arabic Shisha.
QUALITY, PROFESSIONALISM AND SAFETY
Submariner Diving Center started in 2011 as a tiny operation with only 3 members of staff. Over the 2 years we have continually outgrown ourselves and we are now one of the larger and respected dive shops in Palawan. We started as a small Diveshop in January 2011 and qualified as PADI Dive Resort in September 2011. Only 1 year later we managed to qualify as the first PADI 5 Start Resort in El Nido. We got the PADI Green Star Award and the Greenfins Award. In July 2013 & 2014 we received an Award from PADI Asia Pacific for outstanding contributions to Diver Acquisition & Retention. In February 2015 became the first and Padi TecRec Resort in El Nido/Palawan. Our consistent reputation has been built on our high standards of customer service, our professionalism and our dedication to all things in diving. But safety has always been our main priority and our safety report is second to none in El Nido.
