Yet another amazing adventure with Kandoo! We just recently completed the Everest Base Camp trek and from start to finish it was Kandoo at its finest! From the warm welcome at the airport, at the relaxing comfortable hotel in the heart of lively Thamel Kathmandu, and all along the whole wonderful trek to EBC, the team was remarkable. Willing to help us with anything, always had smiles on their faces, had our health and well-being as top priority and made us laugh all the way. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, patient and professional, and made us feel like one big family all working towards our EBC goal. The porters also helped make things much more comfortable for us and were a big part in making the trek a success. I dont know how they do it, but Kandoo manages to assemble the finest, most hardworking, attentive and considerate people as part of their trekking teams. It makes an already out-of-the ordinary trip into something extraordinary! We also climbed Mt Kilimanjaro with Kandoo in 2015 and it was the same amazing experience. Very professional, caring and experienced team, that made our trek a brilliant success! Kudos also to the staff in the UK, who make planning and prepping for the trip exciting and stress-free! It was a pleasure working with them. We would very highly recommend Kandoo to anyone planning a trekking trip. You will not be disappointed! Thank-you Kandoo for helping us fall in love with Nepal and the Himalayas. We hope to trek with you again!

What can I say. This was the most amazing trip of my lifetime. Everything about it was truly exceptional. From the pre-trip organisation and advice, to the safety and care from the whole team in Moshi. The team of guides led admirably by August were amazing. Safety always came first but their support and determination to get everyone to the top and back again was astounding. The quality of the food from Paul the chef was excellent and ensured we all had the right diet to provide the energy needed. Particular mention should also made of the large support team of porters, cooks, tent erectors, and even the toilet attendant. Without all of this, ascending Kilimanjaro would not have been possible. The whole experience was simply amazing from start to finish! I thoroughly enjoyed it, and would like to give a big shout out to the 3 guides Abraham, Deus and Amadeus, as well as the cook and the 24 porters... it was completely down to their combined hard work, boundless enthusiasm, and expert planning that all 7 of our group managed to summit without a problem! The food was excellent; very nutritious and plentiful in supply, and they catered well for my vegetarian diet. The celebratory cake made for us after summiting was a very nice touch, as was the very refreshing glass of juice waiting for us as soon as we came down to Barafu! The tents were of high quality, and the strong winds roaring at Barafu did test this feature out, but thankfully the tents withheld with no problem and provided a great protection against the elements. All in all the whole experience was truly excellent and very memorable, both thanks to the local onsite team in Tanzania, and through the support and useful info provided by the team in the UK. Personal highlight for me was definitely the local songs on the last day at Mweka Camp; there was a strong energy and passion behind them at this point and it was great for us to share that special moment with the full expedition team!

I had a great experience with Kandoo. Before the trek any question and email was answered quickly. During the trek we felt that anything we needed or wanted could be taken care of. The team made us feel that they were there for us at any time. Form the porters to the cook and of course the guides. The phrase "Don't be shy, ask anything you want, we are here for you" was the one I heard most, and always with a smile. I felt lucky to have had August as my lead guide. He is very knowledgeable about the nature and history of the area and could answer any question regarding anything. I felt very safe climbing with him. He seemed to know at all times where exactly each of us was and what was our condition. You could see him paying attention to everything all the time and that made me feel very relaxed and taken care of. All in all, August and his team did a great job! Thanks!!!

Fantastic Service and an unforgettable experience!! We are not seasoned trekkers or fitness super stars. We chose a private expedition to Base Camp using the Classic Route, we had some extra time available so extended the trek and took a few extra days to reach Base Camp. The team were fantastic at fitting the extra days in and never got frustrated with our pace. There were very knowledgeable about the area and weather conditions. Really recommend using these guide and the service from the team in the UK was excellent! The Facebook updates were fantastic for family and friends to keep track of our adventure.

Mt. Kilimanjaro Trek, Marangu Route with Kandoo Adventures We wanted to write and give our testimony to all the sweet facts regarding the Kandoo Adventures and the Team that you employ. First, we selected Kandoo for our Trekking Adventure because they were the most reasonable with price and for the respect of their Porters. We were taken back and in awe to actually see that played out. Wow! The whole Kandoo team was thorough from day one. They emphasized repeatedly the importance of safety and gave us tips on how we were going to be successful. The second aspect that we really appreciated and grew to love was the friendliness of all the Guides: Abraham, lead, and assistant guides, Vincent and Elias; and the Porters. It felt like we were all family! They went out of their way to greet us with Jambo and Habari-asubui, no matter how tired they probably were. We felt like they went out of their way in giving special treatment by making sure we had warm wash water on our return from each days hike, extra snacks, and they made sure that all the meals were different and delicious each meal we had. They also paid special attention to the only female in our trekking group for wee wee times. We had clean water for each Trekking day, we had mini mental/physical exams each day to make sure we were all fit to be successful. At the daily briefing we were always told about what to expect for each days adventure. We cannot say enough about the team of Porters that were part of our team for this Trek. They came to give assistance when we faced the skree descents, met us coming down from the Summit with Lemonade and Gingers nap cookies-Yum, just we needed to get some energy to finish the descent. The Porters were truly amazing. Each day we reached camp, they were way ahead of us and had camp set up and wash water ready and smiles on their faces, ready to take our day packs and poles each and every day. Quite an experience that we will never forget!! After we descended from the Summit, we were all exhausted. We think we can speak for all our group members in that we were very thankful in how the Guides were thoughtful in changing the schedule a bit to hike down the mountain the next day. It worked out well and we even passed some of the groups that did not do the same. Especially worth noting was how we felt the connection with us from the Guides and the Porters that was really special. Post climb, they stopped at special souvenir shops for us to get those post climb souvenirs that you cannot go home without. Abraham, the lead guide, said something simple but yet profound that helped most if not all of us Summit; Dont think about the mountain because the mountain is not going to think about you, just keep your eyes on my boots and youll have no problem. We have just got back from a trek with Kandoo to Everest Base Camp. We have been with Kandoo before when we climbed Mt Kilimanjaro last year. On both trips, Kandoo have been absolutely amazing. They really have been faultless and have been a pleasure to deal with to book these trips. On our last trip to EBC, we were picked up promptly from the airport by their representative, taken to the hotel and looked after extremely well until we were dropped back off there again for our flight home. The guides used in Nepal were fantastic. They are extremely experienced, knowledgeable about the mountains and their country, friendly, caring and do more than is necessary to make sure you are safe, well and happy. I would highly recommend using this company to book any adventure trip, we have not had a single issue and hope to use them again in the future for our next adventure. Kandoo Adventures provide an excellent service from the start. Communications with the UK team were timely and informative. The trip was well organised and the guides, porters were fantastic. Abraham and his team made everyone feel safe, comfortable and continued to keep up everyone's spirits when tired!. Abraham ensured the whole team were fit and well with daily health checks - what a fantastic guide! The food provided was excellent (thank you Mr Delicious). I will definitely be using Kandoo Adventures again for my next trip.

We had so much fun and each day was a different adventure. Our guides Dorchi and Duks were brilliant. They had a great sense of humour but always had our safety as their main priority, far above their own. We felt very well looked after by both of them in all situations throughout the trip. There was not a single second where we didnt feel in safe hands with them. They were both excellent! We will definitely be recommending Kandoo to all our friends and family.

Thank you Kandoo Adventures for a fantastic experience in Nepal. Tony and I have just returned from Trekking to Everest Base Camp via the stunning Gokyo Lakes and Chola Pass, from the moment we were met by the Kandoo team in Kathmandu we felt we were in safe professional hands. We were privileged to have wonderful guides Pimba , a twice times Everest summiteer,Dorchi, Hira and Dukchung who all have a wealth of mountaineering and trekking experience, they took care of our every needs ,always smiling and unfailingly helpful. Their knowledge of the mountains and the history of the area enhanced our experience. The route we took was truly wonderful starting with tree lined gorges and memorable bridges with tantalizing views of Everest and Ama Dablam,we stayed in remote mountain villages where the way of life for the locals looked impossibly hard. We then reached the more barren areas above the tree line as we became surrounded by beautiful mountains on all sides. Unfortunately I developed a chest infection ,again the care I received was outstanding, we were guided to a medical clinic where I could see a Doctor and receive treatment ,then after 3 days I was able to resume our trek towards Everest Base Camp, without Hira's wonderful lead I am not sure I would have made it ! Kandoo are incredibly well organised their daily medical checks of O2 saturation and pulse measurements ,as well as questions pertinent to symptoms of altitude sickness ensure that the health of their clients in this harsh environment is monitored, our gradual ascent and careful pacing by our guides also ensured that nobody in the group had any problems with the altitude sickness. Overall it was a real holiday of a lifetime ,we cannot thank the wonderful team of guides and porters enough. Thank you also to Paul and Jane Deakin who have created this fabulous company they have much to be proud of. We are already planning 2 more adventures with Kandoo ,we can't wait!
