Introducing Israel
For such a small country, Israel has no shortage of destinations to visit. While Bethlehem and Nazareth hold a special place in Christianity, the walls of Jerusalem ooze with myths and legends associated with Judaism. Tel Aviv, with its superb nightlife, trendy cafes, and sandy beaches, is a party-goer’s paradise, while the Dead Sea is an ideal destination to spend a lazy weekend.
Make these all part of your itinerary with a customized Israel tour. Get in touch with our local travel experts today for your very own personalized itinerary.
When to go to Israel
Most people settle for the months between June to September for an Israel vacation since the weather in most parts of the country is perfect during this time of year. However, trips to the Negev Desert or Eilat are best taken in fall or winter when temperatures are slightly cooler. Plus, what could be better than celebrating Christmas where it all started in Manger Square in Bethlehem? Learn more.
How long to stay in Israel
A jaunt to Israel can last as little as two days and as long as three weeks. With a long weekend, you will be able to take in the old quarters of Jerusalem before touring the ancient citadel of Masada. However, to travel further afield, we would recommend that you spare at least five days. That way you can also take in the Dead Sea and Tel Aviv. With a week, it is possible to add Nazareth and Acre to your itinerary. Fourteen days means nowhere in Israel is off-limits, be it the ‘white city’ of Tel Aviv or the shores of the Red Sea. Must-visit destinations in Israel
A modern nation-state with an ancient heritage that holds a special place among the faithful across the globe, Israel has a long list of worthy attractions. Masada offers a gateway to the country’s desert landscape where Bedouins still roam, while the Dead Sea region combines spas with important ancient texts. The distinctive semicircular shape of Mount Tabor is bound to impress you, while the Red Canyon is an otherworldly spectacle of meandering trails carved through the rock. Then there is Mount Carmel, home to the Baha’i Faith’s Shrine of the Bab – one of the region’s most pleasant gardens.
