Amazed this tour still ran with just 3 people! Aldo gave us a fine tour with a balance of Mayan sites and other interesting stops: boat ride to view wildlife, cenotes, thermal springs, chocolate production. Lots on history and contemporary politics too. I especially enjoyed walk through the jungle with biologist who identified mushrooms, plants, trees in the jungle. The hotels were more than adequate. At one, the howler monkeys came very close - their loud calls/roar were startling, incredible. Aldo was warm, easy going, humorous. Definitely recommend him as a very knowledgeable guide!
I don’t know where to begin…. We had the most amazing time on the tour. We had a fantastic guide with the right blend of historical facts, archaeological information and humour. Our driver was brilliant kept the van clean, cool and kept us safe and on time. Was gutted to leave. All the temple sites are worth the wait. Looking forwarding to planning another trip to Mexico to see more. Thanks again for all the team and the amazing memories
Our guide Miguel is good, very knowledgable and kind. However everything else about this tour was not so good. Hotels were ok, terrible internet. We ordered half-board (breakfast and dinner). Breakfasts were just OK. Dinners were almost a pain (menu was limited sometimes not even up to changes) The first 2 or 3 days of the 7-day tours were good and well arranged, then it went downhill. Tons of free time, a forced 2-day stay in a little town in Palenque which we felt was a waste of time. For some of the tours, time spent on the sites was rushed, however, plenty of time were spent on lunches. We use Bookmundi because we thought it was a reputable business. It turns out to operate with layers of sub-contracts.
We used this company for transfers and tours and we were delighted with Javier Nava, he helped us with the tours, as well as coordinating the time for the airport pick-up. I definitely recommend them.
