Enjoyed the tour and a great introduction to the Faroe Islands. Our tour leader, Raanva was an excellent guide who gave us so much information about the islands and life there. Super walks.
Fabulous trip and great local leader.
The Faroe Islands is an excellent hiking destination combining mountain and coastal scenery to rival anywhere in northern Europe. This itinerary offers beautiful and varied walks on each day that were ready to be adapted for weather if necessary by our wonderfully enthusiastic Faroese guide who also taught us much about the island's proud culture. Come prepared for all conditions including the possibility of flight delays due to fog. This risk can be mitigated by choosing to fly with the local carrier, Atlantic Airways who are better equipped to land if such conditions occur.
Let the untamed beauty of the North Atlantic sweep you away on the "Walking in the Faroe Islands" tour. Over eight days, this moderate walking trip covers six islands, introducing you to the dramatic cliffs, rugged coastlines, and peaceful valleys that define this remote Danish archipelago. Designed for seasoned explorers, the journey features a boat trip to the towering Vestmanna bird cliffs, a scenic walk along the iconic ‘floating’ lake of Sorvagsvatn, and cultural immersion in the turf-roofed capital of Torshavn. With all accommodation, meals, and transport arranged, the tour package’s unique edge is its up-close encounters with striking natural landmarks and abundant birdlife—ideal for those seeking adventure, solitude, and a taste of Faroese tradition.
