Pedal through history and desert beauty on the "Petra & Wadi Rum by Bike" tour, a 9-day adventure that starts and ends in Amman. Tailored for experienced travelers who delight in moderate cycling challenges, this guided trip winds through olive groves, quiet hilltop villages, and the vast, dramatic landscapes of southern Jordan. Beyond the thrill of the ride, you’ll explore UNESCO-listed Petra, spend a magical night under Wadi Rum’s star-filled skies, and float effortlessly in the Dead Sea. The USP? This bicycle tour uniquely blends iconic historical sites with the exhilaration of desert cycling, creating a one-of-a-kind Middle Eastern journey.
I had recently had a seriousbiking accident and so I only road a few days but our guides were wonderful and very understanding. This trip has plenty of down time with history and biking as well. I liked this mix. Jordan at the moment is very quiet because of international views of the Middle East and being so close to Israel, but we had a police escort for some of the trip and felt totally safe and secure. Do not hesitate to do this trip.
So well organised from booking to every aspect of our time in Jordan. Bike ride was sometimes a little hard (some steep hills; for me anyway), but followed by more downhills. We had a crew following us, so no worries about bike equipment. In a small way (as much as you can in a week) we saw and heard about the Jordan culture from our excellent local guide. We saw wonderful sites and heard about their history; experienced the Dead and Red Seas. Highly recommend this trip. Even if you think the cycling is too hard there is help and transport for bits you would rather sit out.
This was the most amazing trip. Well organised from the moment we landed in Amman. The wonderful sites we saw were enhanced by the fantastic cycle routes we took. The cycling was as described - so in the main downhill through beautiful rural countryside. The roads very very good and the support team exceptional. There were a couple of really steep climbs in parts which i struggled with especially in the heat so I took the support option and out my bike on the back of the truck and rejoined the tour at the top. The sights we saw en route would!not have been possible if we had been on a bus. The hotel s were good quality. We would thoroughly recommend the trip

This trip includes 5 days of moderate cycling, much of it downhill, with a few ups to test the keen cyclists and walking tours of some of Jordans best historic sights.
