An amazing trip from start to finish. The itinerary was well planned and we felt that we were able to see a lot whilst never feeling rushed or under pressure. Additionally, the accommodation was of good quality and close to any key sites in the locations we were staying. In particular, our guide Zuhair was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable and really brought all the sights to life. He would also go out of his way to help us on a number of occasions and would take time to explain any questions we had with real passion and detail. He really made the trip special and we will remember it for years to come. Couldn't recommend enough!

A brilliant trip with a perfect combination of cycling and sightseeing - 4 lifetime experiences in one week ! Floating on the Dead Sea Petra Wadi Rum Snorkelling in the Red Sea In addition to a spectacular view of the Promised Land from Mt Nebo taking in the Dead Sea, Jericho and the skyline of Jerusalem We were very fortunate that the tourism level due to the Israel war was almost zero which made you feel for the Jordanian people who were incredibly friendly and helpful. The country felt incredibly safe and other than the lack of tourists you would never guess at the horrors unfolding over the border in Israel. To add to the safety it appears to be the policy of the Jordanian govt to provide tourists with a police ****** for the duration of the trip. Our group of 7 cyclists had a police ******, our guide Salah, a bus driver, 2 mechanics and a cycle leader - so almost 1-1 ratio. Our guide Salah was brilliant- a very intelligent man, excellent English and knowledge of the history of Jordan and beyond. He took great pains to ensure we knew the salient points of all the places we visited and I learned an awful lot on this trip. One small criticism is that other than Salah and a couple of the cycle leaders the other members of the Explore team spoke very little English which meant we often had to engage with Salah to translate. As Jordanians are taught English at school it should be fairly straightforward to use this as part of the recruitment criteria

A Journey Through History and Culture

Jordan Horizons Tours provided an incredible experience. From the ancient ruins of Petra to the stunning landscapes of Wadi Rum, every moment was captivating. The local guides were passionate and shared fascinating insights into the country’s rich history and culture. A fantastic way to explore Jordan!

Excellent trip. Great balance between cycling and sightseeing. Tour leader couldn't be better - great English, very knowledgeable about the culture and history / archaeology - and supported by an excellent team. Jordan is such an amazing country, and seems entirely safe from the nearby conflict in Gaza.

Felt there could have been a tweak to the itinary at the beginning. Due to the late flight we did not go to bed until 2pm and had to be in the meeting after breakfast by 8.30am. There was then a very long day and we did not get back to the hotel until 19.30. I felt this could have been shortened as it included stops at juice stalls, cafes etc and these could have been optional.Otherwise I think the itinary was excellant in terms of sights covered.

I thoroughly enjoyed the discovery of Jordan tour which is a safe country to visit. Explore provided us with a very stimulating itinerary great accommodation and a dedicated and professional Tour Guide who went above and beyond to make the experience special Thanks to Abdullah for his kindness and knowledge and to Explore for their expertise. The highlights were Petra, seeing the Treasury for the first time, the high place of sacrifice, then swimming on the Red Sea off a boat with a glass bottom where we could see coral and sea life. I loved floating on the Dead Sea and then swimming afterwards in an infinity pool at the site which was safe and secluded. Other highlights included the night in a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum and eating the traditional Zarb meal and sitting around a fire in the silence and infinity of the desert- we were also comfortable there and the desert is so sublime. Amman has a lot to offer, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Odeon, the various downtown souks and a farewell dinner in an elegant restaurant on Rainbow St.
