Continue to Jaipur’s opulent palaces and imposing forts, then on to the lakeside charm of Udaipur and the urban energy of Mumbai. The final stretch takes you south to Goa, where you’ll unwind on golden beaches and explore colonial churches, blending adventure with relaxation.

Throughout the tour, enjoy a dynamic mix of sightseeing, museum visits, and free time—an approach that appeals to the curious and the culturally minded. day 1 - Delhi arrival

We will meet you on arrival at the airport in Delhi and drive you to your accommodation. You are free for the rest of the day.

day 2 - Explore Delhi

Go out on a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi after breakfast. See the majestic Red Fort, an architectural marvel clad in red sandstone, as well as the Jama Masjid of Old Delhi, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of the Taj Mahal fame.

The sightseeing tour continues to New Delhi where you will see Rashtrapati Bhawan, a one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Anglo-Afghan War; and Humayun’s Tomb.

The other important monument that you will come across is Qutub Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek, of the Slave Dynasty.

day 3 - Delhi – Agra

Board Gatiman Express, India's fastest train, and head for Agra. Your sightseeing tour of the city starts after you have deboarded the train. See the impressive Taj Mahal as well as Agra Fort. Time permitting, there is an option to visit Itmad-ud-Daula, a Mughal mausoleum that is also known as Baby Taj.

Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to honour the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz, the Taj Mahal is built of marble and decorated with a delicate inlay work. It took 20,000 men to construct this monument.

Your next destination is Agra Fort. Initially built by the famous Mughal Emperor Akbar, additions to the fort were made later by his grandson Shah Jahan. The fort is a town onto itself with palaces, mosques and halls all lying behind the protective, 20-metre-high walls.

day 4 - Agra – Jaipur

You are free to explore the city on your own after breakfast. Board the evening train to Jaipur and transfer to your hotel on arrival. Stay overnight in Jaipur.

day 5 - Jaipur: The city of the Rajputs

Time to explore a regal city full of monuments that stand as a reminder to the bygone era. Start by viewing the outer facade of Hawa Mahal, the famous palace of winds whose astonishing frontage of red and pink sandstone towers some five storeys over the city streets. Constructed at the end of the 18th century, its 935 windows were planned to allow the women of the harem to stare out at the city below without themselves being seen.

Carry on to the mighty Rajput capital of Amber and see its outstanding fortress. Overseeing Maotha Lake, the fort is a spectacular creation clad in white marble and red sandstone with a dazzling mix of Hindu and Muslim architectural styles. See the magnificent mirrored halls of the Sheesh Mahal. It was from these lofty walls that the Kachchawahas ruled over their kingdom for around seven centuries, until their prominence was eclipsed by the nearby Jaipur.

Next comes the amazing observatory of Jantar Mantar as well as the City Palace, Jaipur, a stunning complex of gardens and courtyards that presents a rich blend of Mughal and Rajasthani designs and houses an armory and a museum.

day 6 - Jaipur – Udaipur

You are free throughout the day today. Explore the city on your own before its time to take the overnight train to Udaipur (basic with overnight beds).

day 7 - Explore Udaipur

Transfer to your hotel in the city on arrival. Later discover the Jagdish Temple and the City Palace, Udaipur, one of the largest royal palaces in India. Attend a Rajasthani cultural show on Gangaur Ghat before returning to your hotel.

day 8 - Free day in Udaipur & evening train to Bundi

Enjoy a free day in Udaipur today. There’s loads to explore in Udaipur if you want to, be it visiting Monsoon Palace, understanding Rajasthani cuisine with a cooking class or taking a trip to Saheliyon-ki-Bari Garden. Board the train to Bundi in the evening and check into your hotel in the city on arrival.

day 9 - Bundi – Mumbai

One of the least explored cities in India with a rich historical wealth, Bundi is surrounded by the Aravalli Hills on three sides. Interesting monuments including impressive medieval forts, palaces, havelis, temples with beautiful stone idols and chattris with carved pillars.

For anyone who wants to see the beauty of stepwells, Bundi is the place to visit. A number of stepwells were made have over a period of three centuries by members of royal families as well as the people of Bundi. Out of around 20 stepwells in the area, those worth a mention are Naval Sagar, Sisodiaji ki Baori, Purushottam ki Baori, Sukhi Baori, Manoharji ki Baori and Rami ki Baori.

Also worth visiting is Taragarh Fort, the famous serpentine monument about which Rudyard Kipling said, “No human hand can create such a splendour; for only angels have that skill”. This imposing fort was raised at a height of 500 meters atop a hill by Rao Bar Singh in the 13th century.

Transfer to Kota and board your overnight train to Mumbai.

day 10 - Mumbai

Made up of seven islands on the eastern periphery of the Arabian Sea, Mumbai attracts people from all over the country. Mumbai is also the abode of Bollywood, an industry that creates more movies per year than any other movie industries in the world.

Explore this city in the morning. See the honey-coloured Gateway of India arch and the macabre Towers of Silence, the latter of which was built by the Parsis escaping persecution in Persia during the 17th century.

Also visit the municipal dhobi ghats and the Prince of Wales Museum, which has an outstanding compilation of Indian miniatures from Mughal and Rajasthan schools. Learn more about the life of Gandhi at the Mahatma Gandhi Museum.

day 11 - Mumbai– Goa

Travel by train to Goa via the Konkan Railway tracks. Enjoy the amazing scenery of the Western Ghats along the way.

The palm-fringed shores of Goa were colonised by the Portuguese in the 16th century after they seized the original Arab trade settlement and began building a city on the Arabian Sea sprinkled with houses, gardens monasteries and churches.

Goa ultimately became a commercial centre, where traders could purchase pearls, coral, rubies, golden jewellery, silks, China porcelain, lacquered furniture, ambergris and exotic spices. The Portuguese influence is still very much apparent – the main religion is still Roman Catholic and people take siestas in the afternoon.

Like most parts in India, Goa also has its own cuisine culture, the most popular dish being pork vindaloo! You may also want to sample the locally prepared spirit, feni, a spine-tingling drink made from coconut or cashew apples.

day 12 - Free day in Goa

Why not spend the afternoon walking around the city of Panjim? While Goa is mainly known for its beaches, the wide streets of Panjim are also worth discovering. The buildings are noticeably European in style with shutters, balconies and red-tiled roofs. If you wish to spend some time on the beach, it is just a short taxi ride away.

day 13 - Goa sightseeing tour

Visit a local spice plantation in the morning and learn more about the spices and plants that grow in this fertile landscape. This part of India has long been famous for its plentiful array of spices: Indeed Christopher Columbus was en route to the spice-rich Malabar Coast when he ended up in America by mistake.

A journey of the gardens with a local guide will disclose the massive wealth of Goa’s aromatic treasures, including pepper and nutmeg, vanilla and cinnamon. Return to your hotel after the tour is over.
