For 28 days we will be taking you on a complete tour of the best of what Ethiopia has to offer. During this tour you will not only get to see the natural beauty of Ethiopia but also its historical and cultural treasures. We will take you to a number of places like Bahir Dar, Gondar and Aksum, among many other highlights of Ethiopia.

day 1Arrival in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa was founded in 1886 by Menelik II. Situated at an elevation of around 2,438m, it is the third highest capital city in the world. The city enjoys an excellent climate all year round, with an average temperature of 25°C.
We will start our sightseeing tour of the city by visiting National Museum, which houses some of the country's most important historical and archaeological treasures. The collection includes fossils and bones of early hominids discovered in Ethiopia, with the 3.5 million-year-old remains of 'Lucy', the oldest hominid every found, as one of the highlights.
Next we will visit Ethnographic Museum and the Church of the Holy Trinity, Ethiopia's main cathedral and home to the remains of the last emperor, Haile Selassie.
