On this tour we will take a boat trip for 13km from Rio to reach the meeting of the São Francisco River with the Atlantic Sea. known as Velho Chico, is one of the main rivers in Brazil, connecting several areas in its course through the mountains of Minas Gerais to the arid lands of northeastern Brazil. Its mouth is the border between the states of Alagoas and Sergipe and has a virgin nature, formed by dunes, mangroves and islands
Overview
We will leave the hotel in Maceió towards the Municipality of Piaçabuçu where we will embark on a schooner on the banks of the São Francisco River. Known as Velho Chico this river is the largest river totally Brazilian, and we will have the opportunity to know its encounter with the Atlantic sea. As it is an area of environmental preservation we will have the chance to see up close an exotic landscapes of virgin nature, mobile dunes, rare birds and islands that adorn every stretch of the script.
We will make a stop next to the meeting of the River with the Sea to walk between white dunes and to swim in the mystical - according to the locals - waters of the São Francisco River. Before returning to the hotel we will have a stop for lunch.
