day 1 - Arrive Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport and transfer to the hotel for an overnight.
day 2 - Kigali To Volcanoes National Park
Morning breakfast and transfer to Ruhengeri. Check in at your lodge where you will relax in the evening awaiting for the gorilla trekking experience that lies ahead. Alternatively you could visit the Twin Lakes in the afternoon for a community experience.
day 3 - Gorilla Trekking
Today is the big day! The bamboo-covered slopes of the Virunga Mountains are home to the Rwandan Mountain Gorillas. Start your trek at 8am in the morning searching for these great apes. A trek can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on which of the seven groups you were allocated and how far they moved from where they slept the previous night. Once you have managed to find them, you will be able to spend an uninterrupted hour observing these incredible animals in their natural habitat.
day 4 - Departure
Today you will check out of your hotel and drive back to Kigali for your departure flight.
