About Rodrigo

Write a review
For me, traveling has always been about much more than moving from one place to another — it’s about moments that transform, connect, and stay with us forever. My passion for nature and adventure led me to hike deep in the Atlantic Forest of Rio de Janeiro, sleep under the stars in the Amazon, watch wildlife in the Pantanal, and cross the stunning trails of the Chapadas. Each of these experiences shaped the way I see Brazil and the world. What I love most is sharing this with others. I believe travel should be authentic, safe, and sustainable, while also creating real connections with people, culture, and nature. Every journey is a chance to discover something new, to protect what we love, and to celebrate the incredible richness and diversity of Brazil.

Rodrigo's Expertise

I specialize in crafting authentic ecotourism and adventure experiences throughout Brazil, with a special passion for hiking and trekking. Some of my favorite places to guide and explore are Chapada Diamantina, Chapada dos Veadeiros, and the magical island of Ilha Grande. I’ve also had unforgettable journeys in the Amazon Rainforest, the Pantanal wetlands with its rich wildlife, and classic highlights like Iguassu Falls and the mountains of Rio de Janeiro. But for me, travel is not only about nature — it’s also about people. I truly enjoy creating moments where travelers connect with local communities, taste regional flavors, and experience traditions that make Brazil unique. My focus is always on safety, sustainability, and authenticity, so each journey becomes more than sightseeing: it becomes a meaningful adventure that inspires and transforms.

Rodrigo's Best Travel Experience

One of my most unique and memorable experiences was hiking the Petrópolis x Teresópolis crossing in Serra dos Órgãos National Park, Rio de Janeiro. This three-day trek is known as one of the most beautiful in Brazil, with steep ascents, high-altitude camping, and incredible views over the Atlantic Forest and dramatic granite peaks. What made it truly unforgettable, however, was everything that happened along the way — the camaraderie of sharing the trail with other hikers, the sudden changes of weather that reminded me of nature’s strength, and the thrill of reaching iconic points like Castelo do Açu and Pedra do Sino. Living this expedition showed me how a trail can connect us not only to nature, but also to ourselves. For me, it reflects the very essence of adventure travel: challenge, wonder, and transformation.

Traveling through Brazil, for me, has always been about much more than checking off landmarks — it’s about uncovering hidden trails, embracing vibrant cultures, and building real connections along the way. Over the years, I’ve explored and organized adventures across the country, and what I bring is not only deep local knowledge, but a genuine passion for sharing the essence of Brazil. I know that traveling in a country as vast and diverse as Brazil can feel overwhelming. That’s why I make sure every trip is safe, smooth, and shaped around what each traveler truly seeks. From multi-day treks through breathtaking national parks to meaningful encounters with local communities, my focus is always on creating experiences that are sustainable, authentic, and unforgettable. Choosing me as your travel expert means having someone who understands the details, the spirit, and the beauty of Brazil — and who will guide you to live it in the most meaningful way.
