About Rodrigo

What I love about travel is the incomprehensible sense of freedom. When travelling, you can leave your world behind and feel free to do the things you want, when you want to. By the age of 30, I had already visited more than 30 different countries. As an active traveller who doesn’t shy away from physically demanding activities, at some point I crossed paths with adventure-style travel. It was love at first sight. I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro and I can tell you that Brazil itself could provide an entire life of travel experiences, especially regarding adventures. At the age of 26, I designed and founded a tour company specializing in ecotourism and adventure travel. For a former analyst on computer networks, IT security and computer incident response teams, I think I did great giving up on all of that to do what I love, be a traveller and help other travellers.

Rodrigo's Expertise

I'm a traveller and love to travel, so my expertise is focused on the wide range of experiences that travel can provide. I love to interact with the places I visit, so definitely local populations and culture are of my interest. Furthermore, activities such as hiking, trekking (long-course hikes), rock climbing, trail running, mountaineering, cycling, mountain biking (single track, roads or downhill), diving (scuba or snorkel), stand-up paddling, kayaking and of course, some nightlife. But at the end of the day, it's all about travelling.

Rodrigo's Best Travel Experience

This is definitely the most difficult question! Each travel experience is unique, even if you visit the same place many times. I could list the first time I went to Patagonia to complete the O circuit in Torres del Paine National Park, Chile, by crossing the border from Argentina. That was almost as unforgettable as my last visit to Bosnia and the Balkans! But I don’t think I would be able to answer this question regarding Brazil, for it is too vast and beautiful.

I had the rare opportunity to transform my favourite hobby into a profession. And so I did. Since 2010, I've been pushing my company to the edge, while travelling and helping travellers. The company was designed from scratch and is a 100% self-funded. We achieved leadership for adventure travel in Rio de Janeiro and we're stepping the way to the top in Brazil! This is the big proof of the passion and dedication involved in our work. :-)
