About Diego

My name is Diego, and I design tailor-made journeys. I have always had a strong passion for travel, especially slow travel: hiking, cycling tours, and all the ways of travelling that allow you to truly connect with the places you visit. After working in development cooperation in Bolivia, I decided to combine my experience in the social sector with my passion for designing sustainable travel experiences. This allows me to create authentic journeys, far from mass tourism, that genuinely support and highlight local communities. Every itinerary is carefully designed to offer a truly meaningful experience: authentic encounters, unspoiled landscapes, and a deeper connection with the places you visit. I am particularly passionate about community-based tourism and about creating journeys that combine extraordinary landscapes with genuine human connections. For me, travelling is not only about discovering beautiful places and bringing home incredible photographs, but also about the people we meet along the way. Sharing a moment with a local family, learning about their way of life, or simply having a conversation can often become the most memorable and authentic part of a journey. This is why I try to integrate meaningful encounters with local communities into the itineraries I design, creating a balance between discovering breathtaking places and experiencing the human side of a destination. In my view, it is these encounters that can transform a visit or a holiday into a truly personal journey.

Best Travel Experience

I have travelled extensively through India, Eastern Europe, North Africa and South America, and each of these regions has given me a different perspective on travel. However, Bolivia has always stood out to me. What makes it unique, in my experience, is the possibility of discovering a country that has managed to preserve a strong sense of authenticity and where indigenous cultures remain deeply connected to everyday life. What I find particularly special is the way tourism can genuinely become part of the local communities rather than simply taking place around them. Travelling through Bolivia has allowed me to meet people, share moments with local communities and discover traditions and ways of life that are still very much alive. For me, this is what turns a beautiful destination into a truly meaningful travel experience, and it is also what inspires me when designing journeys for others.

I take the time to understand your interests, questions and expectations, and use my local knowledge to suggest activities, places and encounters that I believe will genuinely suit you. My goal is to combine the incredible landscapes and cultural richness of Bolivia with the human side of the country, creating those authentic moments and personal connections that stay with you long after the journey is over.
