At Unique Adventure, we are highly devoted to safeguarding the natural environment and make sure the area we use is left clean when we move away. We generally bury or burn our bio-degradable trash and what’s not disposable is packed and deposited in a bin installed by conservation park authorities. Our porters are always protected. We are always aware about the risks involved and ensure our guides and porters are well equipped and geared for you to enjoy hassle free services. We strictly follow rules and regulations of the International Porters Protection Group (www.ippg.net). We avoid camp fires when on the trail and advise our guests to buy wood-fueled hot showers in lodges. On all our ventures we always make sure we give ‘something back’to the community. Unique Adventure has always been involved with helping build schools in mountain villages, assisting widows with an income source, helping educate porters’ children’ and assisting the disabled who have been injured while escorting guests on the mountains etcetera. We have always been committed to the wellbeing of mountain communities. During the earthquakes that hit Nepal in 2015, we initiated a project called: ‘Hand in Hand Nepal’’ – with the aim to ‘Keep the Mountains Clean – Give back to the Community’’. The concept behind our Program is based on the culture of ‘Travel with a purpose’. We seek to make a difference to communities in need in areas we trek to… the purpose is to start from within and spread the dollar around.
