My husband and I had a wonderful trip, but our friends, who aren't as physically fit, had a hard time in the high altitudes - something to consider if you are older and not in good shape. The country is beautiful, the people were very friendly, and our main and local guides were wonderful.

Our leader made sure each and every one of us had the best experience of the countries that he was so passionate and knowledgeable about. They are beautiful and varied with snow capped mountains, glaciers creating large lakes and miles and miles of wide open spaces where a variety of animals such as grey foxes, sheep and guanacos roam. We learned of their history, culture, food, music and people whilst travelling from Buenos Airies to the ‘end of the world’ in Ushuaia and north through Chile. Overall a great trip with a phenomenal CEO in JC however the Puno portion of the trip and the kayaking left a bad taste in the mouth. It very much felt that we were being shipped to different locations just to give people money for things we didn?t want and the kayaking itself was just an hour and a half of straight paddling from one island to another. I would recommend avoiding Puno if possible.

Thank you for an incredible trip in Peru. My son I I were lucky to be the only participants on the Inca Trail with our awesome guide Andres and our 8 porters. We felt like VIPs as we were provided 3 course meals and our tents set up for us after a long hard day of trekking. The views on the trail were amazing and the ruins were fantastic to explore and learn about. Andres' knowledge and experience is vast and he shared his country and culture with us. While the trekking was challenging, the views and landscape such as the cloud forest made it worthwhile and spectacular. Arriving at Machu Picchu was the experience of a lifetime. We were graced with fine but cold weather. World Expeditions enabled everything to work seamlessly from being met each day by someone, to the tours of the Sacred Valley. I highly recommend this trip to Peru.

This trip delivers in what is promises, wildlife! From the Green Turtles, Monkeys, and Toucans in Tortuguero to the Humpback Whales in Manuel Antonio we saw plenty of wildlife, all expertly pointed out by our Tour leader Leo. Additional highlights included the Cocao Tour in San Gerado de Dota and the White Water Rafting, both included in the Tour.
As others have mentioned, the tour could do with a slight change in itinerary, getting us out of San Jose and into the cloud forest sooner and the hotel in La Fortuna was a slight dissapointment given how good all the other hotels were, however this did not put a damper on the overall tour.
I can recommend going in the 'off' season too, the weather was no where near as bad as expected and there were fewer tourists to have to contend with!

This Geluxe Patagonia G adventure tour can only be described as breathtaking and excellent experience. While the price is steep, it is worth every penny due to the comfortable boarding with beautiful views, food and alcohol being included in most of the hotels and cities, and, more importantly, the OH MY GOD! stay-- Estancia Cristina makes it well-worth it.
