We came away from this trip with a much better understanding of not only Machu Picchu, but Incan culture and the history of the region. I was wowed by the beauty and scale of Argentina. Our tour leader Carolina could not do enough to look after us all and make sure we all had an enjoyable experience. The wine tours were interesting and varied, and the wine tasting great fun and of high quality. I would have liked a few more short walks included, but understand they would be hard to fit in as we were covering such distances.

This was such a trip of a lifetime! I am so glad I booked it and went. The weather couldn't have been any more in our favor too! Clari was such an amazing trip manager - she was so passionate about Peru and making sure we were seeing all the highlights we signed up for. The Inca trail was my favorite part of this trip, so definitely make sure you book that! You get to see so much more of the surrounding area that way of Machu Picchu. 10/10 would re-live this trip again in all of its glory!

We had an amazing time on our trip to Chile. Everything on our itinerary was planned perfectly and everyone was early to arrive and very friendly and happy to give recommendations. The W Trek experience was made so much easier and less stressful thanks to their careful planning. What an amazing trip, couldnt fault a thing! From start to finish, it was organised so well and our tour guide was so knowledgeable. A gentle introduction to Brazilian life on the beautiful island of Marajo with its golden beaches and buffalo was a great idea.
The public ferry was pretty basic but gave a glimpse of river life, relaxing on a hammock as we sailed up the Amazon. Yes, the food was plain and a bit repetitive but it was freshly cooked, tasty and plenty of it.
Santarem was a delight, just like a seaside resort. The jungle hike there was a bit tough (but so worth it!) with a local guide showing us all the ways the plants and trees are used by the local people, and a swim in a cool stream was most welcome.
The private boat trip was fabulous; sleeping on deck listening to the sounds of the night-time jungle, canoe rides to see the wildlife, fishing for piranha and another hike were exciting. The food on the boat was superb!
TV programmes on the Amazon just don't cover the scale and magnificence of the river and jungle so if you're looking for adventure, maybe a little outside your comfort zone, then go for it. For me, this was the trip of a lifetime!
