This tour to Nicaragua takes you on an exciting journey through exploring the colonial city of Leon, the stunning Ometepe Island, and the charming town of Granada. It begins in Leon, one of the oldest cities in America, where you'll see the city's UNESCO-listed ruins and the Cathedral of Leon. From Leon, the journey continues to Ometepe Island, taking a ferry from San Jorge to Moyogalpa. Once you reach this island, composed of two volcanoes, you'll visit various attractions, including the El Ceibo Museum, Laguna Charco Verde, and the Ojo of Water. The tour then takes you to the colonial city of Granada. Explore the city on a guided walking tour to see historic churches and colonial homes from the 16th century. Later at night, ascend to Santiago crater to witness the red lava lake in the Masaya Volcano National Park. The next day, embark on a full-day adventure to the spectacular Mombacho Volcano. This was a fantastic tour. We got to visit five National Parks, four of which we had not gone to previously. We got to see highlights at each park, but Yellowstone was something special. The variety of wildlife that we saw there was spectacular, including elk, bison, black bear and grizzly bear. The whole trip was memorable.

Everything about the trip was excellent. The hotels were very comfortable with superb food and service. The sights and venues were interesting with enough time a)lottery to see and enjoy them. The your director was great. She was creative in solving minor glitches. The driver was fantastic guiding the very comfortable but big bus through the narrow New England streets. The patrons were the most congenial group I have ever risen with. Top notch in every aspect.
