Start your journey on Ambergris Caye, Belize’s crown jewel. Reachable from Belize City by a scenic 1.5-hour boat ride or a short, affordable flight, the island sets the perfect tone for your adventure. Most travelers are picked up from Belize City’s airport, though you can also arrange a pickup right on Ambergris Caye—it’s your choice.
Known as “Isla Bonita” (beautiful island), Ambergris Caye was immortalized by Madonna in her 1987 hit, inspired by its turquoise waters and sandy streets. Explore the island with a guide and golf cart driver, taking in its charm, hidden gems, and stunning views at your own pace.
Travel Note: Flights arriving in Belize City after 3:30 pm should book a one-way flight to San Pedro instead of the boat transfer. Late arrivals make boat trips impossible. Maya Island Air and Tropic Air operate this short, convenient flight.

Highly recommend Charlie the Traveler!

My husband and I highly recommend Charlie the Traveler. We decided to honeymoon in Belize and we booked our 10 day trip through Tour Radar. Charlie called me after we booked and we talked for about 30 minutes about Belize and all the things to do. Evelyn (with Charlie the Traveler) sent us our itinerary 2 weeks before our trip and it was jam packed with adventures: cave tubing, cave canoeing, snorkeling, visiting the Mayan ruins including a massive cave adventure, the zoo, and more. Our tour guide in country, Valentin, was incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, professional, and funny. We felt very safe and taken care of. Evelyn remained available if we needed anything during the trip. We would use Charlie the Traveler again for another trip!
