      This three-day, private, guided safari trip is for those who want to make the most of their short stay in Kenya. Book with us to explore the iconic Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa's most popular wildlife destinations, and stay in the luxurious Mara Sopa Lodge while enjoying game drives in the reserve. In addition to the Big Five, Maasai Mara is also famous for its annual migration, when millions of wildebeests – not to mention tens of thousands of zebras and gazelles – migrate north from Serengeti. This spectacle starts in late July or early August and continues until October. We will pick you up on the first day of the tour from your centrally located hotel in Nairobi and drive you to Maasai Mara. There is a stopover of around 30 minutes at a viewpoint in the Rift Valley. Learn more about the geology of this place from your tour guide before proceeding to Narok, a town famous for the Maasai people. Your first game drive in the wildlife reserve is late in the afternoon, followed by a full-day exploration of the national park on the second day. Enjoy your final game drive early in the morning of Day 3 before its time to head back to Nairobi where we will drop you off either at your hotel or at the airport for you to catch your flight home.

      Nairobi To Harare (44 Days) Apes & Lakes - July 2026

      From the majestic Mountain Gorillas, wildlife experiences in some of the best gameparks in East Africa to the blue waters of Zanzibar and Lake Malawi. A sure-fire recipe to make this an unforgettable journey. There is an option to finish in Lilongwe, Malawi if you don't want to continue on into Zimbabwe and finish in Harare. Note: This is one of our Overland Adventures which are run using one of our specialist famous yellow overland expedition trucks. Trips are run on a participatory basis – you’ll be involved in the day to day running of the trip and have fun taking turns helping to shop and cook for the group. Expect to sometimes get dusty and dishevelled and not to be able to have hot showers every night. Groups of up to 24 people are led by our crew of two. Please note that the accommodation on this trip is predominantly camping, though there may be opportunities to upgrade this locally where rooms are available. Please see the trip inclusions for an approximate percentage of camping and room nights. Our Overland Adventures provide once in a life time experiences and whilst some safari activities may be included in the itinerary, or be available to book locally, this should not be considered a traditional safari holiday, though we consider that part of the fun!!
