The tour was very interesting, visiting many places but some local guides were not that satisfactory. For example, one of the passengers translated into English for the local guide. Another thing is the changing of busses and passengers, although the tour guide insisted much time on the microphone to those coughing and sneezing to wear a musk, some did not care.

This trip was exactly what I needed. After years of family holidays and work trips, doing something like this — just me, my wife, a car, and no daily schedule, felt like a throwback to how we used to travel.
The best part? We weren’t herded around or stuck waiting for a big group. We just got in the car and drove. Some days we were super active, other days we just wandered and sat in cafes.
Croatia’s charm is obvious, but Slovenia really caught us off guard. The nature is pristine, the towns feel like no less than a fairytale, and even the touristy places don’t feel overwhelming. Also, it’s worth saying the roads were great, parking wasn’t a nightmare, and the car rental process was straightforward. That stuff matters when you’re not 25 anymore.
If you want a bit of culture, nature, good food, and a proper break from the usual routine this is your tour. We’re already talking about doing another self-drive next year. Portugal, maybe?

I was very fortunate to have such amazing people on my tour. We were able to bond so quickly as we all shared our love and enthusiasm for travel and these specific places. Every place we went to was so beautiful, rich of history and culture and truly unique. The included activities were so much and full of variety as we relaxed in lakes, went on bike rides, visited museums and much more. This tour was the perfect blend of free time and included activities. Through this I was able to not only have an extremely joyful and relaxing vacation but it also enabled me to achieve so many things including improving my skills for travelling without feeling the stress of having to figure this out alone in a foreign continent and on the other side of the world. I definitely recommend this tour, especially to young, solo and inexperienced travelers but really to anyone who has a passion for travel and who is open to meeting new people and trying new experiences.
