There is nothing quite like Christmas among the Alps with the festive Munich Christmas Market, Salzburg’s snow-capped spires and an indulgent cup of Glühwein. Your Local Expert brings Mozart’s history to life before a visit to Salzburg's Christmas market. After tasting the festive treats, the culinary delights continue with a traditional dining experience at Swarovski Crystal Worlds. If that is not enough to summon your holiday spirit, a stroll through the medieval cobbled streets of Freiburg will certainly do the trick, not to mention the fairytale surroundings of Strasbourg, where the sweet scent of cinnamon is carried on the breeze at the oldest Christmas market in France.

It was great for our first European trip. We weren’t impressed with the Ibis hotel chain that we stayed in as some had very small rooms to open our luggage in.
Experience the winter wonderlands of Europe like never before, with stunning views of Lake Lucerne from the peak of Mt. Pilatus and immersive tours of Munich and Salzburg. An Insight Choice experience in Innsbruck lets you choose between a horse-drawn carriage ride through the Alpine scenery or a visit to the world of Swarovski Crystal. Your Austrian adventure continues with an exclusive Salzburg market tasting experience, where locals serve goblets of Glühwein and freshly baked Lebkuchen, fragrant with ginger and cocoa. Across the border in Germany, Rothenburg, nestled alongside the River Tauber, offers an abundance of 16th-century charm, while in Munich, foaming steins of beer beckon at the city’s famous beer halls.
It was a short life changing experience that gave me the opportunity to see the world and make new friends from all over the world. It was a great introduction for world traval. Perfect for someone who is new to traveling.

First of all, Europamundo has the best tour guides. They are super nice and knowledgeable. Some have difficulty speaking in English but it still works out. I also liked how we were able to visit many places but we felt like it was quite rushed. Our Switzerland itinerary was a bit of a waste as well since we used up the entire morning to try to get to ride the cable car but in the end it was replaced by waterfalls which I think is too different in terms of price and experience so that was disappointing.
Our tour guide - Cuki - was the best. This was my husband and my 1st trip to Europe and it was perfect. Loved staying in 1 hotel for most of the trip and not having to pack up every day. Our favorite part was getting to explore each town on our own after we had our tours. We felt safe and acclimated to roam on our own. The carriage ride was definitely one of the highlights for me. Finding a local pub was on my husband’s list and we did in Innsbruck. The markets were magical (especially at night). Munich was fun and beautiful too! The market square was filled with Christmas cheer. Hofbrau house was another great adventure. Always wanted to go there. We also found the pink Christmas market which was stunningly beautiful. We met so many fun and nice people on the tour. We also made strudel - which I made for my friends at our Christmas party. Another highlight was the Tyrolean dinner and folklore show hosted by the talented Gundolf family. Dressed in traditional Austrian attire, they delighted us with beautiful songs, energetic dances, and performances on unique instruments—including a saw using a bow! Lastly we happen to see the scary creatures - Krumpus - are part of the Bavarian Christmas traditions. What a fun trip and we’d recommend it to many of our friends!!!
