Jordan is a wonderful warm, cultural experience. The local people are passionate about their country and rightly so. There’s no hard sell harassment, just fun bartering and banter.
Apart from the stunning ancient monuments, and enthralling history, the food is excellent, the weather is perfect, and there are no mosquitoes. The hotels are of a great standard if a bit Smokey, but don’t worry you won’t be spending too much time in your room.
I wish explore offered more Jordan trips because I would do them all!

Collette's tour, "Italy's Treasures" was an excellent, memorable trip. The accommodations chosen were comfortable, unique in location and historical settings - A Villa in Tuscany, a castle in Sestri Levante with views of the Mediterranean. Meals were excellent. Our tour guide, Antonella, was exceptional, sharing the history of the areas as we travelled, ensuring all connections were seamless, always available to answer our questions and always going the extra mile to ensure our experience was unforgettable. This was an excellent trip in every way. The leader Alejandro was outstanding- very caring, helpful , informative and well-organised. Peru is a varied and interesting country and although Machu Picchu was spectacular there were many other highlights to our tour. The itinerary covered a lot of ground but it was not too rushed with a good mix of organised activities and some free time. The transport by bus and train was comfortable and the hotels were good and well-situated.
