I was under the weather part of the tour.
Several of the people on the tour started the tour with upper respiratory issues. Several of the rest of us managed to catch whenever they had.
I enjoyed the trip and would recommend it.
The only issue I had as I felt that I might’ve enjoyed a little slower pace.
That may be colored by the fact that I didn’t feel well for the latter part of the trip.
My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour! The scenery throughout was incredible, and it was a great contrast to time spent in India’s North visiting the Golden Triangle. Walking in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a tour of a spice farm, and time on the houseboat in the backwaters were particular highlights. Pacing of the trip was good, with multiple nights in some of the towns, in between longer drives.
Our driver, Noufel, had a good grasp of English, and was very helpful. The tour company and their staff were also very communicative via WhatsApp, and checked in throughout to ensure everything was going well. Our hotels were comfortable and served good food. Most had AC (though it wasn’t really needed in Munnar due to the altitude).
Visiting in Summer, there wasn’t so much wildlife, but the scenery everywhere was still amazing!

Beginning in Kuching, we explore Sarawak’s colonial past and Indigenous heritage before travelling deep into the forest by longboat to stay at the remote Nanga Sumpa longhouse. We continue upriver to jungle camps, swim in waterfalls and walk trails few others will ever access.
Next, we fly to Mulu National Park - home to one of the world’s largest cave systems and the dramatic limestone Pinnacles of Gunung Api. Trekking through pristine rainforest, we climb to a viewpoint overlooking these 45-metre (148-foot) high stone spires, rising sharply from the jungle below.
In Sabah, we ascend Mount Kinabalu (4095m/13,435ft), Borneo’s highest peak, trekking through ever-changing ecological zones — from lowland forest to alpine scrub - to witness sunrise above the clouds. The journey concludes on the Kinabatangan River, where dawn and dusk wildlife cruises offer sightings of proboscis monkeys, elephants and rare birdlife, all within one of Southeast Asia’s most biodiverse ecosystems.

This was a great trip and has made me want to explore Greece further. We didn?t have much wind which had a lot of upsides actually, the group we went with were amazing and our captain Erwin was helpful, practical and entertaining. I would recommend bringing a driving licences so more exploration of the islands could be done. I?m not sure it would be a comfortable trip if you had to share a tiny cabin with a stranger, or didn?t like swimming, but my partner and I had an awesome time. Thanks all!

Yellowstone exceeded all my expectations—it was absolutely incredible. The people I met along the way made the experience even more meaningful.
