Our family had a great 15-day customized China tour experience with this tour company! Several months before our trip, I contacted the company and Thalia was our very responsive and helpful travel agent. She helped us plan an interesting itinerary with a variety of different activities that exposed us to the ancient history, vibrant culture, and beautiful outdoor landscapes of China. The English-speaking travel guides in each city we visited had warm, friendly personalities and shared great insights with us about life in China. They guided us on memorable visits to the water towns surrounding Shanghai, and to Xian, Guilin, and the beautiful countryside of Yangshuo. The company took care of all our travel arrangements including wonderful and well-situated hotels, private mini-van with driver, and train/airport transfers. These arrangements were very reassuring as this was our family's first trip to China. For all the activities, care, and excellent customer service we received from the company, we felt the overall cost of our family's customized tour was reasonable and well worth it! We would not hesitate to use this company again!

We, a family of three from New Zealand, enjoyed a trip to China in October this year. We have been preparing for this trip for 2 years. Before finding this tour operator, we also inquired with some local travel companies in New Zealand and China. After comparing, we found that the itineraries offered by New Zealand companies were relatively limited, and they required a minimum of 16 people to form a group. Therefore, we ultimately chose the 13-day group tour package with this operator. In our group, there are a total of three families, consisting of 6 people. The other members are from Germany and the United States. It was an amazing trip. Totally worth it.

Starting and ending in the dazzling city of Hong Kong, we take you on a budget tour of China beginning with Yangshuo and its towering karst mountains, green fertile fields, and a long list of adventure activities to try out. Next we drop in to Xi'an for a shot of China's rich and ancient cultural history, and a visit to the world famous Terracotta Warriors. This was an amazing trip made possible by extraordinary guides and drivers. We were met by the lovely Asmita who went to extra mile to prepare us for our trip, and to be sure we had all we needed. She could not be more charming and helpful. On day one, we were driven to the border, very expertly by Raju accompanied by Kersang. We needed an expert as the roads were very windy and not in good condition but it was exciting and we could take in the wonderful scenery and the interesting villages that we passed.
After we crossed, the border which took some time we were met by Tarkye our guide and Cedun our driver. Tarkye was a very mature calm guide, solicitous knowledgeable and very caring. Cedun our driver was also very considerate and helpful which we as a group needed as many of us had not fully anticipated the effects of the high altitude.
However, we were shepherded in an extraordinary manner through magnificent mountainous terrain, and lake filled scenery seeing yaks and other animals on the way. The monasteries were beautiful and Tarkye could answer any questions we had.
This unique and extraordinary trip delivered exactly what it promised. There was a great deal of driving which could be tiring but this was specified up front.
Overall, this was an amazing trip, but it was more physically demanding than anticipated because of the altitude and also being in a relatively small enclosed vehicle carrying 12 people with no space in between each person if one person gets sick it spreads through the group has happened for us. Nevertheless this tour is a once in a lifetime experience in a country as yet relatively undiscovered by western tourists.

My only critique is that we should have been provided more information on the difficulties with using credit cards and ATM’s in China and the prevalent use of cash only. I have traveled to 55 countries & never had difficulty using credit cards & ATM’s until China. Most places wouldn’t take US Visa or Mastercard & ATM’s wouldn’t give me Chinses yen
