We enjoyed our trip to Kyrgyzstan, it was very relaxing and the scenery was amazing. The highlight was the night in the yurt camp which was lovely, very remote and we even had snow overnight. The homestays and meals in local houses were very good too.
DIY picnics by the river were a nice touch.
On the down side, this trip involves a lot of travelling, sometimes on poor roads, which could be broken up better. We arrived early afternoon in some places and because most of the accommodation was on the outskirts of a town, there wasn't really anything to see or do once we arrived. One of our group thought the hotel at Toktogul Reservoir was like the one in 'The Shining'! The swimming pools had been closed for years and everything was just a little dated.
Some of the walks were not that interesting and seemed to be there to fill the time and there was also a lot of litter in many areas which wasn't pleasant.
There were descriptions in the itinerary about various places we didn't actually visit, for example Osh sounded lovely but we didn't even stop there.
Having said all that, we did enjoy the holiday, but there just were not enough highlights to maximise each day.
I had a great trip, and enjoyed getting to see different side of Indonesia. Panji ensured we learnt lots about the local culture and had a worry free trip around the country!

Excellent experience with our guide and porters. They were able to accommodate quick changes in our plans when some of our members showed symptoms of AMS. They are also some of the fittest people I have ever met and are kind and entertaining at the same time. It was a pleasure to learn about their culture. Mr. Jainendra who organized the trip both by air and land, made arrangements in lovely Heritage hotels, which food and services were outstanding, and an impeccable white car that Mr. Kumar drove. At the same time Mr. Jainendra provided me with a guide every time I arrived to a new city, and was able to visit the lavished monuments as well as its beautiful people. Mr. Jainendra listened to what I wanted and planned every single day according to my interest.
Mr. Kumar, with his white and impeccable car drove me around India, from Udaipur to Ranakpur, to Jodhpur, to Pushkar, to Samond, to Jaipur, to Agra and finally New Delhi, was a smooth and happy ride.
Every day, Mr. Kumar had a big smile, and his driving knowledge and experience was excellent. I am a photographer and he would kindly stop wherever there was a shot for me to take, and drove through places that were out of this world. I have to add there was always cold water in the car.
I took a plane from New Delhi to Varanase and from Vanaranse to Udaipur. I hope to be back in India soon, but in the mean time I am planning a trip to Cambodia and Vietnam with the team.
I was and will always feel in good hands if and when I make my plans through the team.
