Let me be upfront, this wasn’t a glamorous vacation. It was muddy. It was dusty. We had early mornings, long drives, and a few mosquito bites. But will I want to experiemce this again? Yes!
The tour was well organized, and the guide was a legend! Quite funny, patient, and ridiculously sharp-eyed. Samburu was our first real dive into the wild, and it delivered. We saw elephants on day one, and from there it just kept coming, leopards, hyenas, even a rare kudu.
One afternoon near Lake Nakuru, our vehicle got stuck in a patch of thick mud. Instead of getting annoyed, our group jumped out (after checking for nearby buffalo, obviously) and helped push. That’s the moment I’ll remember, complete strangers working together in the middle of Kenya. What impressed me most was how fast the team coordinated with support. Another vehicle was ready to assist if needed and our guide handled it all with total calm. You could tell they’ve got experience.
The boat ride at Naivasha was another highlight. There’s something eerie and beautiful about hippos watching you from the waterline. Then came Masai Mara, which just floored me. We saw a lion cub playing with its sibling and a herd of wildebeest thundering past. It’s a feeling out of the world.
The accommodations were decent, nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable, and always ready with a warm meal. And I appreciated how the team kept things running smoothly from behind the scenes. Airport pickup was seamless, the group size was just right, and every transition from lodge to lodge was effortless for such a packed itinerary.
If you want pristine perfection maybe look elsewhere. But if you want raw beauty, real moments, and a sense of the world beyond your bubble, this is it. Hats off to the team for making it all flow.

Great trip with very good leaders in Weston, Gift and Dean. Well organised and informative. It can be hard work breaking camp most mornings, often quite early starts, and then setting up each evening, often at sunset. Client participation essential to make it all work. Food simple yet sustaining with good variety. Surprised the vehicle was not airconditioned as at times very hot.

My husband and I decided to climb Kilimanjaro as part of our honeymoon trip to Tanzania. Our tour operator was absolutely brilliant from the word go! Our team, and especially our guides, Rashid and Osmani, went above and beyond to help us reach the summit. They were so friendly, professional and every detail was taken care of - including providing hot water bottles for our sleeping bags in the cold nights. Our guides were only too happy to show us extra insight about the mountain, as well as teaching us some Swahili! We couldn't have made it to the summit without their help and support. All 7 members of the team (porters,chef, waiter, guides) were keen to meet us and even performed a song for us, which was really moving. Although we spent less time with the porters and chef team, when we did see them they were always smiling and keen to talk to us, and did all their tasks with enthusiasm. The level of customer service we experienced was outstanding and we cant think of anything that could have been improved. We will have amazing memories of this trip, thank you so much!! I had the privilege of being part of an amazing group on our Mount Kilimanjaro expedition. This team truly embodied the spirit of adventure, camaraderie, and determination needed to help us conquer Africa’s highest peak.
From the very beginning, the group’s enthusiasm was contagious. Everyone brought unique strengths to the table, whether it was carrying our packs, cooking delicious meals, or making sure we were all comfortable. The teamwork was evident in every step we took, especially during the more challenging days when altitude and fatigue tested our resolve.
Every morning we were greeted with coffee in our tents, a bowl of hot water to wash up, and a hot breakfast. We also had the luxury of a personal toilet. The porters packed everything up and carried our bags and had everything set up by the time we got to camp. They’re constantly refilling our water bottles and supplying hot water for tea and coffee. Every morning and evening we did a wellness check to make sure no one was experiencing altitude sickness. We had two guides who spoke perfect English to ensure we made it to the summit.
To my incredible climbing team: thank you for the laughs, the encouragement, and the shared sense of achievement. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to share this adventure with!

What an amazing experience. From the start of our tour, all the way to the last minute, every activity was worth every moment and my only wish is that it could have lasted longer. Amazing to see how many animals are still roaming around - what an incredibly time.
My eight-day trip was simply magical! The itinerary was perfectly designed, combining history, culture, and nature. The journey began in Casablanca with the iconic Hassan II Mosque, continued through the royal cities of Rabat, Meknes, and Fes, and ended in the mystical Marrakech. The highlight for me was the stay in the Sahara, where I rode a camel, admired the sunset over the sand dunes, and experienced an unforgettable night under the stars.
Each day brought new experiences: the blue alleyways of Chefchaouen, the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, and the fascinating Medina of Fes. Everything was organized to the highest standard, and the guides were not only experts but also friendly and eager to answer any questions.
This was an excellent trip very efficiently run. Two nights in every location except the last worked well. The accommodation standard was excellent and all the food was very good, including that prepared by the leaders. The trip was a very good mixture of game driving, hiking, a history day and driving days (I enjoy seeing the countryside and I listen to audio books to help pass the time). The last two and a half hiking days in the Drakensberg were a real highlight. Only one day, the hike in Eswatini, failed to impress as it was on a big track most of the time. Overall, this gives a very good introduction to the east of South Africa with not too much time spent in the truck. Oh, and the truck was very spacious and comfortable, not a minibus as I expected.
