The itinerary flowed seamlessly taking us from the wide boulevards of Casablanca to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, the alleys of Fez and the dunes of the Sahara. Our guide, Layla, was phenomenal. She was warm, endlessly knowledgeable, and the kind of person who anticipates questions before you even ask. She brought every stop to life, whether we were walking through the historic Medina of Fez or standing in awe before the architectural marvel of the Hassan II Mosque. One of my personal highlights was the Todra Gorge. As someone who’s hiked canyons in Arizona and Utah, I can honestly say this was even more dramatic. It had sheer walls that glowed orange in the sun and a stillness that felt almost sacred. The camel ride to our desert camp in Merzouga was unforgettable. Watching the sun dip below the dunes, then sharing dinner and music under the stars with fellow travelers made for a night I’ll always remember. You can say it was a beautiful moment to be cherished forever. The hotels exceeded expectations. They were clean, comfortable, and full of authentic Moroccan touches like tiled courtyards and lantern lit lounges. We took a 10 days trip from Marrakesh to Fes, through Ourzazat and Merzuga desert. Our driver was Mokhtar. We had wonderful time. mokhtar is a very skilled and friendly driver, knowing a lot about every region of Moroco. He knows good photo spots as well. The hotel we stayed in Ourzazat was boutique and very relaxing. The second night we stayed in a luxury camp at the desert, which was above the expectations. A great experience to see a lot of Morocco in relatively short time - I highly recommend Top Desert Tours and Mohamed!
