An amazing way to experience Japan in a short trip for your first time. Being able to meet people all over the world and share the experience was perfect. For the price and freedom to explore when not busy was worth every cent. Almost overwhelming how much you get to see and do in the prettiest place in the world. Your arrangements gave us exactly what we wanted. But we were surprised that this was not a group tour as we thought it would be. Each hotel and excursion was separate, as opposed to being with the same group and tour guide the whole time. However, it worked out fine. We especially loved the hotels selected by the tour company because they were centrally located and we could easily walk around the various cities.
This trip, while short, provides an in-depth discovery of much of central Italy: Rome and the Colosseum, Florence and the David, Pizza, Verona, and Venice featuring a glass blowing demonstration and optional tour to Burano for a truly unique dinner.
The tour also provides an opportunity for time on your own to explore on one’s own pace or visit sites of personal interest.
In my case, I could visit Peggy Guggenheim’s museum ( with instructions on how best to get there by our guide) in Venice and have dinner in Rome at a restaurant recommend by an Italian friend.
I went on the 18 day Thailand intro and had the trip of a lifetime! Everything from even before we arrived was very organised which led to a completely stress free trip. Our group leader Zoe was amazing, bringing such positive vibes from day 1, and provided complete support throughout the trip and for onward travel. Known for its world-famous Passion Plays, performed every ten years, it is impossibly picturesque; its houses are decorated with elaborate paintings known as Luftmalerei and prettily carved wooden balconies overflow with geraniums. Here, the locals embrace their rich history, where traditional Bavarian dress is often worn in recognition of their heritage and the custom of Kaffee und Kuchen (coffee and a generously sized portion of cake) is still an afternoon ritual.
The village is also an absolute Mecca for the walking enthusiast. From exhilarating mountain hikes with amazing views all the way to the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain, to relaxed strolls through lush green valleys and wetland nature reserves, Oberammergau's wealth of well-signed paths and easy-to-follow trails make it a great choice for wonderfully varied walking.
