What a great trip, with the highlights being Rainbow mountain, Lake Titicaca and the best of all, hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. I feel I have really been able to delve into Peru and now know much more about the country, the people and their cultural beliefs. The trip was very well organised, supported by our excellent guide Julio. Julio was so knowledgeable on all aspects of Peru and shared so many interesting facts about the local areas we visited. The trip ran very smoothly and we felt safe and well looked after through out. Nothing was too much trouble and I felt Julio went above and beyond with his insightful information and organisation, such as booking us great restaurants and the archeological sites we toured.
The Peruvian food was amazing, so colourful, tasty and well presented. All the accommodations were clean and in good areas. The porter team supporting our Inca trek were amazing, friendly, efficient and the service and food they provided was very good.
Do as the locals do on this seven-day adventure reaching from the bohemian quarters of Copenhagen to the stylish boutiques of Oslo. Spot the Little Mermaid while exploring Copenhagen, listen to tales directly from locals, explore the cobbled streets of Gothenburg, and nibble traditional cinnamon rolls at a Swedish coffee house, then head out to Vrango Island for some kayaking.
Hi, i have had the most exciting experiences of my life, we have seen and done every thing, accommodation was amazing, ing, we did have one night in a hostel which we all frowned upon but actually it was very clean and was in the town centre of Wanaka and actually turned out really well as we went out to dinner and came back and had a drink in the chill room where everyone came and met and we all chatted all evening which was lovely, our guide Kreig took us to a really lovely place for breakfast the following morning. We had to take a bit of a detour due to a landside which couldn't be helped but our guide more than made up for it making sure we were entertained on the coach doing quizzes with us, he made the trip so exciting for us so I believe we saw more than we would of done had we taken the route we should of taken and explore treated us to dinner to make up for it to.
I really do think we had the best guide we could of had ,Kreig became our friend and on the last night we all got quite emotional. His knowledge was phenomenal and was extremely passionate about his country, explained everything in a way we could understand and answered every question we asked, such a lovely man, he made the trip exciting for us and was an excellent driver, anyone that gets Kreig as their guide would be very lucky.
What an awesome trip. So many cool activities included and lots of opportunities to do even more on your own! Alex, our guide, was very knowledgeable and fun! Id definitely recommend the NZ South Island trip if you like the outdoors, adventure, and adrenaline!
This was one of the best "Discovery" tours I have been on with Explore. It felt like a real adventure, with the excursions to the volcanoes Cotopaxi and Chimborazo and the boat trips on the Napo river, a tributary of the Amazon. Our tour leader, Fabian, and driver, William, were both excellent. The accommodation was generally very good, with the exception being the Riobamba hotel. I find the comments by a previous reviewer about the current power outages in Ecuador to be absurd. The outages were a mild inconvenience (to us - although I pity the Ecuadorian people) but there were absolutely no security or food safety issues as a result. When I travel in (e.g.) South America I don't expect everything to be just like it is in my cosy Western European home! My one criticism of this trip is that there were far too many shopping stops that were thinly disguised as "cultural visits" - I counted at least ten of these. The number should be at least halved. I mean, what on earth do painted balsa wood parrots have to do with the culture of Ecuador? Or carved nut kernels, for that matter?
Join this three days tour and explore one of the most spectacular natural phenomena, right in the middle of Zimbabwe and Zambia, which amazed David Livingstone already in 19th century – Victoria Falls. Get lost in the mist of these waterfalls and absorb its mystic vibe. You will experience the magical sunset over the falls and you will learn more about the myths and legends that have been covering these waterfalls for decades.
I totally enjoyed the Mayan experience with our tour leader Thomas Morales...we were his family and he organised a brilliant holiday for us. He solved a major problem we had with our phone...I highly recommend him as a tour leader.
My only concern was the treatment of farm animals going for slaughter....I did not see any vetinary supervision or any health and safety practices.

Discover Tortuguero National Park located in the North Caribbean side of Costa Rica, an incredible opportunity to see wildlife and cultural experiences to get closer to the Costa Rican essence.
Lovely whistle stop tour of the Baltics, Ona was very knowledgeable and helpful and it was interesting to hear her stories of life in the USSR. Only thing is she did take us to a couple of quite fancy/expensive restaurants which weren't suitable for everyone.
