Scenic Scandinavia and its Fjords is a great and very active itinerary and provides travelers with an immersive experience in the culture and beauty of the region. The trip was very comprehensive in providing experiences throughout the countries visited. Each day provided ample opportunities explore each area, whether in an organized excursion or to explore on your own. The tour director was outstanding and provided the group with insights into the coming destinations as well as the cultural nuances of each region.

Overall, this was an amazing tour of incredible Italy! However, there were a couple of improvements that would have made it even better. First, there should have been a tour of the Colusseum even if there would need to be 3 days in Rome! Also, we were unable to tour Lake Como because Trafalgar does not have a contract with a boat company there even though the itinerary said we would get to tour. There was nothing to do there and very little time so this should be looked at. A couple of the hotels were very disappointing especially the Sierra Silvano which was smelly, old, and too far away from the beautiful coast. A Google search made it look like I could go to the beach while there but it as in the jungle and pool wasn’t even open even though the itinerary said relaxing by the pool! Also, the Grand Hotele room in Florence was right by the staff elevator and I got no sleep during this stay. Finally, the last night’s dinner while delicious should be special and include a time of saying goodbye. We were at small tables and didn’t even take a group picture. It was very anticlimactic after such an amazing trip. Barbara and our driver were wonderful and were experts at their jobs! I already have family and friends asking for referrals and I will definitely use Trafalgar again if finances allow.

I was disappointed that for a Grand Italian Experience that we did not go to the Colosseum. Lucky we stayed an extra couple of days and was able to arrange our own guided tour. Something to consider in your itinerary!! We were also would like to have had a cruise around lake Como instead of just seeing the area from land. The tour gives you a wonderful insight to the country and its region. Overall we loved the tour and will be doing more in the future. Our tour director and bus driver were amazing. They added to the experience and made it really good.

We were able to see SO much. It was wonderful, but does mean long, rigorous days. We drove 2800 miles in the bus. We had to be on the bus by 7:30-8:00 every morning and went until 8 or 9 at night, walking 5 to 6 miles a day.

The itinerary was well thought out with a good combination of city and country. The magnificence of the fjords is something that has to be experienced. Our tour director Mike and driver Tom made sure the trip ran smoothly and worry free. We would have liked to see more included daily tours.
