Petra Tours and Holidays
The lost city of Petra is typically the first thing that comes to mind when you think about traveling to Jordan. This painstakingly preserved relic of an earlier age is a stunning span of towering rock walls and exquisite architecture that has been named one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Petra tours have a lot to offer, from the famed Siq trail to places of historical significance like the Treasury, Street of Facades, and Royal Tombs. With many trails over cliffs and into deep valleys inside the site, Petra is also a perfect destination for hikers and nature lovers.

Everything was perfect. was an excellent tour guide. I do feel bad that he wasn’t told or us that we would be lacking a ceo tour manager. was able to make up for it. But next time contiki should let the tour group know in case people want to cancel. Some folks were not happy.
I had been planning an adventure to Jordan and Israel. So not knowing where to begin in hunting for a reasonable, honest, flexible, thorough guide, I started on the internet. I saw Charlie the Traveler’s website and after doing some research, I may not have personally known anyone who has used Charlie the Traveler, but the reviews were exactly what I was looking for. I was able to tweak their standard itinerary, staying longer at some places, adding treks, and booking my own lodging. Upon arriving to the airport in Jordan, I was greeted by a local representative of Charlie the Traveler, ‘Sami’. I cannot praise Sami enough and Charlie for finding a guide who legitimately cared about the traveler’s experience. Sami made sure I was familiar with my itinerary Charlie’s company had prepared for me, even after all my adjustments. I never felt uncomfortable, afraid for my safety or like I was being ‘played’. Pick up and drop off times were always precise and reliable. I appreciate the care and reliability of Charlie the Traveler and his representatives. My time in Jordan was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I have Sami and his networking skills to thank for that. I will definitely use Charlie the Traveler for future adventures. We spent a lot of time in the car driving in Jordan but it was worth it. Zina met us at the airport. She adjusted our schedule because she felt we would not be able to work everything in with the driving time. If I ever want to write a book, I will go to Wadi Rum for the beauty and seclusion. Petra was everything the books and pictures claim…We both enjoyed the experience of helping cook in the Jordanian home. The food was good. I accidentally reached in the wrong pocket and gave her a $100 USD tip. I didn't realize it until we were on our way back to our hotel. She was probably overjoyed… I figured money was well spent.
I was blown away by the tour to Israel and Jordan planned by CharlieTheTraveler. They organized everything and I never had to be concerned about anything. I knew everything ahead of time and knew how to pack accordingly, which made the preparing process so much easier. Everything they did made for a unique vacation to these countries.
From the moment I contacted the tour operator, I felt at ease. Their staff responded promptly, demonstrating deep knowledge and genuine passion for every historical site. Our itinerary included Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and more—each destination exceeded my expectations. The guide was engaging, patient, and fluent in both English and Arabic; they shared stories of ancient Nabateans, Ottoman heritage, and Bedouin tradition in a way that made me feel connected, not just like a tourist. Accommodations were comfortable, clean, and well‑chosen; meals were authentic Jordanian cuisine, often family‑run restaurants with warm hospitality. Transportation was safe and comfortable, with thoughtful rest stops. The pace was balanced—neither rushed nor sluggish—allowing moments to reflect, take photos, or simply breathe in the beauty. I appreciated their flexibility too: a detour to a local market was welcomed, even though not in the original plan. Overall, the tour operator provided a trip that felt personal, insightful, and deeply moving. I returned home with richer understanding, many fond memories, and a desire to return someday.
I took my mother to Israel and Jordan, as she wanted a unique vacation. I chose CharlieTheTraveler because it included many of the day trips she was most interested in visiting. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the activities and accommodations provided made the trip worth every penny. It warmed my heart to see my mom get the trip of her life.
