This was our first trip with explore for my husband and me . The programme was varied and interesting and the travel and accommodation comfortable with airconditioning . The walking was easy for active people . Good group size and very friendly , organised and knowledgeable guide /tour leader that looked after us throughout the whole trip . It is a busy schedule involving many hour travelling but this allowed us to have a good overview of the country in just 2 weeks one thing I got wrong in my preparation was the clothes I brought . I had taken too many long trousers and tops for the hot and humid weather as I had ready that shorts above the knee and sleeveless tops were best not from à col rural point of view when actually shorts , dresses and sandals would have been appropriate for our evenings and cities and sleeveless tops for our hikes

We were a small group and we wanted to do everything! Having travelled extensively in Northern India, this was my first time in the South. It proved a hugely enjoyable tour combining walking and sightseeing. The scenery in the hills above the bustling town of Munnar is stunning with the landscape sculptured by centuries of tea growing and the higher peaks offering panoramic views over the Western Ghats. The camping was well organised with good sized quality tents equipped with comfy mates. We were expertly looked after by Sheila and her team who produced large quantities of excellent South Indian cuisine. Be prepared for all weathers - we encountered sunshine and rain on our end of November departure. Much has been made of the local leeches. They are around particularly in damp conditions, but by wearing long trousers and tucking them into my socks they were no big deal. The walking in Periyar Park was also excellent and with the help of knowledgeable rangers we were able to see elephants, mongoose, giant squirrel and a profusion of bird life. If birding is your thing don't forget to pack your binoculars. The biggest 'shout out' must go to the tour leader Abhi who was top notch. Nothing was too much trouble, he arranged lots of extras (visits to a tea factory, spice farm, rubber plantation, stops at the off license for beer supplies, male grooming at the local barbars and oily ayurveda massages (a must do!). He kept our small group informed and entertained and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. As a solo booker, traveling with Abhi felt like holidaying with a mate. In summary, a highly recommended, great introduction to the Kerala region of Southern India. I'll certainly be back for more.

Walking, wildlife, food and culture: this tour ticked a lot of boxes for me. It is true that the poor visibility at this time of year (March) meant that the Annupurna mountains weren't visible during much of the trek, but the landscape with its flora, fauna and small farms still made the walking interesting and enjoyable. A special highlight was seeing the one-horned rhinoceros at the Chitwan National Park, and the cultural events staged at the Green Chwadi Retreat at Chitwan were an unexpected bonus. There was a wealth of birds to see throughout the tour, and our tour leader, Su, was very knowledgeable in identifying them. As someone who is unable to eat gluten, I had been worried about how I would cope with the food; and I am extremely grateful to Su for helping me to navigate this, as well as ensuring that there were always things available for me to eat.

This was a full on bucket list trip for myself and my family and it did not disappoint in any way. We got to see all the incredible sites of Jordan such as Petra and the Dead Sea and then a number of others we had no expectations of, such as Jerash, which we found absolutely fascinating. There were 6 highlights on the trip. - Guwahati - living tree bridges - Hornbill Festival - Kaziranga NP - Majuli island - Longwa head hunters village. Each were excellent. The accommodation and food were generally much better than I expected. Most meals were included. All were good except for a couple of 'locally' prepared meals. The choice of restaurants and hotels were as good as could be expected considering where we were. Our guide Sanjeev was very professional and organised. If there were any issues they were kept behind the scenes. This is a trip for the experienced traveller. I would suggest that there are other parts of India to visit before putting Assam on the list. The reason I give is because of the distances between each of the highlights. Long days, some of them uncomfortable. Our 2 drivers did an excellent job looking after us given the driving. However the highlights made up for the travelling at least as far as I was concerned. There aren't many trips to this part of India and is very much off the Western tourist trail with no MacDonalds in sight, which, for me, is a huge bonus

An excellent trip with a great Bhutanese tour leader and driver. Such a beautiful and peaceful country and a big contrast to hectic, noisy and dirty Kathmandu. A fairly relaxed tour with highlights of the black crane festival, Tiger’s Nest monastery, Punakha and more. Generally good hotels except in Phobjika Valley, which had power cuts, cold rooms and poor food. Food in Bhutan was a bit monotonous- generally very similar buffets. Excellent guide and driver. Recommended.
