The best way to see Thailand

Doing the Total Thailand tour I saw and learnt more about the country than I could ever have done as a solo traveller. Travelling as a group I have made friends for life and developed my confidence in going out to see the world on my own. I would recommend any tour with the team to my family and friends.

This trip was amazing. The itinerary had such a good mix of activities, cultural experiences and free time. Our trip manager and the local guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend this trip enough.

We had an excellent tour guide: helpful, informed, receptive and with a good sense of humour. Most of the hotels were excellent....some slightly less so (Nha Trang for example). The service on the trip was exceptional. The support team of transport, bag carriage and a cycle mechanic were also excellent. Vietnam is fascinating and being on bikes we saw all aspects of the country. We saw its beauty, we saw the industry and pride of its people who were universally very welcoming. We also saw all sorts of things normal tourists, arriving in a large group with little language ability, would not be able to see. Some of the best things were stops in markets, or by rice fields, or at very basic homes or cafes. We saw a lot and visited a lot of different places: a 'grand tour' if you can do such a thing on bikes! The country certainly has issues, in my opinion, with rapid over-development (in the south particularly) with endless giant resorts half finished, being built or built and empty. It also needs to address the issue of litter. It is not alone in facing these issues! I am also certain it has the ability and determination to address them.

Unforgettable experience

An absolutely unforgettable experience, met friends for life and visited some mind blowing spots. Arthur was an exceptional tour guide throughout, after being called in on late notice you could not tell. He brought the energy and jokes the entire trip, never failing to put a smile on people’s faces. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Thailand, especially if travelling solo 10/10.

Unforgettable experience!

The southern tour of Thailand has been truly amazing from exploring the different beaches to going on boat trips viewing different snorkelling spots. It has been an unforgettable experience! Arthur has been a great tour guide who’s made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. He’s funny, caring and full of knowledge about Thailand to share with everyone. Throughout my time doing the tour, Arthur made me feel comfortable and relaxed to be myself and make friends for life!

The tour director Thom was excellent, so knowledgable about history as well as being very personable and thoughtful. Highlights for us include historic Hoi An, Lantern making in Hoi An, Halong Bay the Mekong Delta and the Red Bridge Cooking school. We also really appreciated the Thanh Dong Organic Village and the silk grafting at Van **** Silk Village. Terrific of Trafalgar to support people with disabilities. The farewell dinner at the home of the former American Ambassador was also special.
