Scotland is one of the most beautiful, scenic countries I’ve ever experienced! The itinerary Trafalgar compiled showcased Scotland’s best—from Glasgow & Edinburgh to Loch Lomond, St. Andrew’s, Loch Ness and the Highlands. The hotels were nice and the hotel in the country had us feeling like we were living within a picturesque Hallmark movie! Seriously, Hallmark should write and shoot one of their romance movies at the lamb farm hotel we stayed in. I loved that we stayed in a hotel for TWO nights each which was significantly more comfortable than changing hotels every night. The group dinners were very good and our bus driver was STELLAR! It was unbelievable how he managed to get our coach through several super tight squeezes without a scratch! Our tour guide was great as well! She was knowledgeable, organized, very friendly and informative throughout the trip! We enjoyed getting to know her a bit! I’d encourage anyone who doesn’t know a country well to let Trafalgar take the stress off of planning an itinerary and taking care of travel and hotels. We experienced more than we would have on our own. Trafalgar even planned a visit to a castle which is someone’s home. Their ancestral line has owned it for 12 generations! We then ate a group dinner with the owners there sharing with us. This was a FABULOUS vacation and we are very pleased with our experience with Trafalgar.

I have to say that the tour guide was fantastic! She was very helpful and always checking how I was doing. My favourite part of the trip was the Highlands. The farm visit and the place we stayed was just beautiful. I’m also aware that the summer everyday is not normal but no rain happened while I was there. I love this trip it was country number4 I visited with Trafalgar and I’m going to Ireland next hope it’s just as great.

Along with a variety of interesting cities and locales, the kind and professional tour guide team is the “icing on the cake!” There is also ample time for individual exploration, for balancing your trip with your personal list of “must see” places.

Yes, lots of country to see and we enjoyed all of it. Went to a lot of places we did not even know about. One of my favorites was meeting a gentleman who uses sheep dogs to wrangle the sheep. Amazing to watch & listen how he gives commands and the dogs are very fast to follow all commands.

The title is appropriate! It’s a sprinkling of many things Scotland. If it’s your first time visiting Scotland or you don’t mind having the majority planned out, then this is for you. The tour was packed with highlights and local information. Unfortunately it does not allow any significant time at any stop to really enjoy the local fair, but does provide the opportunity to see where you may come back and concentrate more time on your own.

Since it was our first trip abroad Scottish history was amazing. The castles, the Highland mountains, the food, all of it was so interesting and beautiful. Edinburgh castle, Rosslyn Chapel was amazing to be even near it. Stirring castle, Loch Ness was really neat to see. Glasgow was a more modern city with lots of history. All of this plus more from the trip was an exciting tour of a lifetime.
