Itinerary

Dive into the Galapagos’ extraordinary world on the "YACHT ISABELA II SEABIRD SANCTUARY EXPEDITION (Mon - Fri)," a five-day tour designed for experienced travelers eager for moderate adventure and wildlife immersion. Sail aboard the elegant Yacht Isabela II, a boutique vessel that combines luxury with eco-friendly technology.

Guided by naturalists, each day promises sightings of giant tortoises, marine iguanas, penguins, sea lions, and diverse seabirds. Activities include snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and relaxing glass-bottom boat tours, ensuring a fresh perspective on the islands’ unique ecosystems. The yacht’s amenities—restaurant, hot tub, gym, lounge, and library—provide comfort after action-packed days.

The unique selling point of this trip is its perfect balance of up-close wildlife encounters and onboard luxury, making it an exceptional tour package for those seeking both adventure and relaxation in the heart of the Galapagos.

day 1Santa Cruz and Baltra Islands

After landing at Baltra Airport, we drive to the Itabaca Channel to take a ferry across to Santa Cruz Island. A 30-minute bus ride takes us up to the fascinating, more humid highlands of the island where we’ll learn about its unique ecosystem and biodiversity. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we drive to a nearby reserve that is one of the best places in the archipelago to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat. The tortoises are easy to spot, lumbering around, munching on grass and leaves and wallowing in small pools. There are several lava tunnels to explore in the reserve, too. After the tour, a short bus ride takes us down to Puerto Ayora to board Yacht Isabela II.
