Arrive in Xi’an in the afternoon. You will meet your local representative and head to the city. Later, you take a relaxing walk to the city’s heart to visit its fascinating Muslim quarter. In the center of Xian visible everywhere from the surrounding city walls, are the city's two Ming Dynasty treasures - Bell and Drum Tower. First erected in 1380, the Drum Tower has become the gateway to Xian's old Muslim quarter and its historical mosque. The Great Mosque is one must-visit in this area. It is one of the buildings still to standing in this Muslim quarter. Built in the Tang Dynasty, the mosque has endured for the past 1,300 years and is still an important place of worship for local Muslims.

Today's excursion will take you to modern China's greatest archaeological discovery - The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for more than 2,200 years.

In the afternoon, tour The Wild Goose Pagoda, a Tang Dynasty landmark. This seven-story pagoda was initially constructed in 652 A.D to house the Buddhist sutras brought back from India by the monk, Xuan Zang, who later translated them into Chinese. His pilgrimage to India is immortalized in the Chinese classic - The Journey to the West.

The optional evening tour of Tang Dynasty Pedestrian Street will give you another perspective to fall in love with this city. It is the only one in the country with the flourishing Tang culture as the background of large-scale imitation Tang architectural complex pedestrian street, as a local landmark scenic spot. This morning, you will visit the City Wall, the best-preserved city defense system in China. Time to take a leisure walk or bike along the ancient city wall for impressive views of the old and new city.
