Yellowstone and Grand Teton’s dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife await on this 8-day adventure tour, tailored for active seniors and experienced travelers with a moderate fitness level. Start and end in Salt Lake City, with a three-day immersion in Yellowstone National Park, where you’ll hike scenic trails, spot grizzly bears, bald eagles, bison, and wolves, and witness Old Faithful’s iconic eruption. Stay on the park’s edge in West Yellowstone before venturing into the majestic Grand Teton National Park and the picturesque Jackson Hole valley. The trip’s unique highlight is the expert-guided exploration of two of America’s most legendary national parks, blending hiking, wildlife encounters, and natural wonders into an unforgettable journey.
day 1Welcome to Utah
Arrive in Salt Lake City and make your own way to our hotel. The rest of today is at leisure for you to settle in and head out to explore Utah's capital. Salt Lake City is known for its Mormon history and for its location on the Great Salt Lake, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere.
Please note: For selected 2027 departures during the Salt Lake Temple public open house (5 April–1 October 2027), an optional temple visit and group welcome dinner will be offered on the Sunday arrival day. Guests may choose whether to participate.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This tour involves extensive hiking on uneven terrain, covering an average of 5 to 8 kilometres at a time, but sometimes more. Elevation changes range from 50 to 1,000 feet, and both touring and overnight locations are situated at altitudes between 5,000 and 8,000 feet above sea level. Due to the physical demands of this itinerary, participants should be prepared for significant activity.
NATIONAL PARK FEES: This tour includes visits to national parks where entry fees for non-U.S. residents are not included. On Day 1, your guide will collect payment in USD. Travellers can either purchase an America the Beautiful Pass (USD $250 per pass, valid for up to 4 travellers) or pay per park (USD $100 per person, per park).
