Overnight in Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet with the local coordinator, who will give you a briefing on the tour program and introduce the volunteering activities, in which you will participate.
Then meet your guide, who will take you through the charming sites of Hanoi. This city is famous for its ochre-colored colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards, and scenic lakes. Stop at the old coffee shop in the Old Quarter to sip delicious Vietnamese coffee and listen to the guide's stories about the daily life of Hanoians. Head to the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an imposing monument of marble and granite built to house the preserved body of beloved revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh, affectionately known to the Vietnamese as "Uncle Ho". Explore the square and the mausoleum building from the outside and see the One Pillar Pagoda. It is a Buddhist temple built in 1049 of wood in the shape of a lotus blossom and set on a single stone pillar, considered by many to be one of Vietnam’s most iconic pagodas. Visit Ho Chi Minh's House nearby, a simple wooden house in a tranquil setting where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. Some of his belongings are on display, and visitors can walk up the steps to see his bedroom.
Continue sightseeing by visiting the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, built in the late 11th century. This picturesque temple is an example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese dong banknote. Then we will take you back to your hotel. The rest of the time is free for leisure.

Today we will explore the off-the-beaten paths toward Da Bia village (Rock Landmark) by trekking and boating. This area has a history behind its name: in 1960, after a three-day territorial debate between Tien Phong and Phong Phu communes, a rock fell off the mountain and stuck right at the borderline suggested by Tien Phong officers. You still can see this rock if you pass by this area by boat. You will explore the traditional daily life and local culture of the Muong Au Ta ethnic people.
Enjoy lunch at a local homestay before trekking about 8 km to Mo Hem village to see beautiful landscapes along the road. Then board a local boat to head to Mo Hem village, where you will stay overnight.

What more we can say... First time in Vietnam, and the whole experience was incredible. Vietnam was gorgeous in many aspects from nature to people. I was totally amazed by the spectacular view of the caves in Ninh Binh and Halong Bay, while my parents liked the Hue countryside tour. Vietnamese cuisine was excellent, from local street food to seafood buffets. We tried egg coffee, and it was so good, you must try it when traveling to Hanoi. We bought lots of souvenirs for our friends. We bought conical hats in the village, which was making them for a very long time, and we even saw the entire process of making them. We also recommend you to look at the products with mother-of-pearl decorations, you will be pleasantly surprised with the price for it. Thank you, travel specialist for making my visit memorable.
It was absolutely GREAT! My husband and I had a lot of opportunities to learn something new and self-improve thanks to this trip. Long is quite likely the most understanding and patient agent I've ever met. He responded to me so quickly and made sure the trip proceeded without a hitch. Definitely, the best 15 days ever!
I can't believe I got to experience so much with this trip. I'm not so good at cooking, but the meals I learned to make in Hue were very delicious. The most exciting part for me was fishing at Tam Giang lagoon, it was the first time I caught a fish in my life! Not to mention how a spectacular place it was.
