Great trip, great people - would recommend G but maybe not this itinerary.
We loved this trip! Ivan (our skipper and guide) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. As a former chef, he made us two delicious meals and had great restaurant recommendations. We didn?t stay on itinerary due to a storm, but the entire Croatian and Slovenian coastline is beautiful and charming. All of the people we met at the marinas and in the towns were very nice and spoke English. There were only two of us on the trip, and I can imagine the boat gets cramped with 8 people, but we spent most of our time on the boat outside of our rooms and you can sleep on the deck or in the common area if the rooms are too small. We loved being on the water and would definitely book a sailing trip with G Adventures again!
Beautiful, peaceful ports
Unveil the hidden wonders of the northern Adriatic on the "Sailing Italy to Croatia" tour package, spanning 10 days from Venice to Zadar. This carefully guided sailing adventure winds through Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia, touching down in enchanting places like Portoroz, Grado, Izola, and the sunlit Kvarner Gulf islands. Glide past ancient basilicas in Grado, soak up the laid-back Slovenian coastal charm of Izola, and anchor in tranquil coves rarely seen by mass tourism. The itinerary is crafted for travelers who crave a blend of relaxation and off-the-beaten-path discovery, with on-board comforts ensuring every moment at sea is as enjoyable as the explorations ashore. The tour’s flexibility allows you to uncover secluded beaches and peaceful inlets, with a small group size fostering intimacy and camaraderie. The unique selling point? Access to the Adriatic’s best-kept secrets—hidden gems that can only be reached by boat, away from the crowds. For those seeking a sailing trip that marries efficiency with authentic coastal experiences, this journey is an irresistible invitation to discover the magic between Italy and Croatia.
