Rafting on the Petrohue River Rapids

Today we will have an exciting and complete Rafting adventure on the majestic Petrohué River, a unique experience that combines adrenaline, nature and impressive landscapes. This experience, ideal for adventurers and families, will take you to explore one of the most spectacular rivers in Chile, surrounded by the imposing Osorno, Puntiagudo, Calbuco and Yates volcanoes.
Your day begins with the comfort of being picked up directly at the door of your hotel in Puerto Varas by our van. During the approximately 35-minute journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of Lake Llanquihue, with multiple opportunities to take memorable photos.
Upon arriving at our base in Ensenada, you will be greeted by our team of expert guides, certified in first aid in remote areas and rescue techniques in turbulent waters. After a detailed safety talk, you will receive all the necessary equipment: neoprene suit, jacket, shoes, life jackets and approved helmets.
It is advisable to bring a swimsuit, socks and a t-shirt (avoid cotton on cold days) and don't forget a towel for after rafting. Anything you might lose is safer in the van, where our driver will take care of your valuables.
A short 10-minute ride in the van takes us to the starting point of the Rafting. Before embarking on the adventure, we will practice rowing techniques. Then, the 11 km descent begins full of class III and IV rapids, with exciting names like “Ciao Seco”, “La Ese”, “Los Pollos”, “Queso Suizo” and “El Nadador”. During the tour, we will stop in some places to enjoy the river in different ways: swimming, jumping from cliffs and letting ourselves be carried away by areas of gentle rapids.
At the end of the descent, we arrive at our disembarkation point where you can change clothes in the changing rooms on the banks of the river. Back at the base, you will enjoy a delicious snack while you see the photos of your adventure captured by our photographer.
