Customer Reviews
An enjoyable trip with a few hitches. The GUIBO app on at least one occasion finished the day's ride well away from the hotel and we spent some time finding that place. The helpful fellow we met when first receiving the bikes was not a bike mechanic and was lacking expertise in fitting them for us. However, the accommodations were excellent and our bags were reliably transported in between. The ride along the Danube, while pleasant, surprised us in that much of the time we were out of sight of the river.
The hotels were all good, our luggage arrived in good time. Breakfasts in hotels were OK and most started by 7am.
Good communication prior to the trip. This was my sixth solo self-guided European trip, so my review is based in part on my experience with other companies. I did not upgrade my hotels and as a result a couple were disappointing, mostly because they were far from the centre of town. In Vienna, I had to go to a different hotel to collect my bike. On prior trips, the bike was available the night before and in the hotel in which I was booked. The bike itself didn't have a cage for a water bottle, which was disappointing and meant that I had to stop every time I wanted a sip of water, rather than being able to sip and cycle. Multiple days I arrived at the hotel before my bag. It's suggested that you bring a change of clothes with you in the event that you arrive before your bag. Overall, it was a good experience.
Enjoyed seeing small towns and a variety of areas instead of only tourist attractions.
They did a wonderful job of organizing and supporting our bicycle adventure from Vienna to Budapest. The hotels were wonderful and the breakfast's amazing. Having not only GPS directions, but accompanying written directions and maps made our tour a breeze. Communication before and during the trip was excellent.
