day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest and busiest city in Vietnam. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
day 2 - Cu Chi Tunnels
Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City. In the morning travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground maze which became legendary during the 1960s for its role in the Vietnam War. Located about 75 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City, the tunnels were part of an underground network that zigzagged from the southern tip of the Ho Chi Minh trail near the Cambodian border to the Saigon River.
Returning to Ho Chi Minh City you'll explore the Reunification Palace (also known as Independence Palace), one of the most fascinating sights in Ho Chi Minh City and once the symbol of the South Vietnamese government. Nearby is the famous Notre Dame Cathedral (from the outside only as renovations are taking place) and the War Remnants Museum, where you can learn more about the "American" War as it is referred to in Vietnam. The final stop of the day is Ben Thanh market, where you can enjoy a spot of shopping.
day 3 - The Mekong Delta
Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Can Tho. Travel overland through the beautiful countryside of the Mekong Delta where we take a traditional sampan boat ride to explore the peaceful waterways. During the boat trip, visit a local cottage industries making bricks, producing rice paper and Mr. Sau Khanhās house - who has been collecting antiques which include ancient and valuable ceramics, pottery pieces like bowls, dishes and vases, to ceiling lights, sculptures and Buddha statues. In the afternoon we travel onto Can Tho for the night.
day 4 - Cai Rang Floating Market
Can Tho - Dalat. Enjoy a morning cruise along the Mekong's small and picturesque tributaries by rowing boat to visit the bustling Cai Rang Floating Market. Take in the beautiful scenery and watch the locals going about their daily lives along the Mekong canals. Later this morning, take in some of the highlights of Can Tho city, visiting Binh Thuy Ancient House and Ong Pagoda.
Later transfer to Can Tho airport for a flight to Dalat, the capital city of Lam Dong province. At an altitude of 1500m above sea level, Dalat is dubbed the ācity of springā, with its ideal climate for horticulture. Itās famous for its lakes, waterfalls, pine-tree forests, vegetable gardens and flowers. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
day 5 - Dalat city tour
Enjoy a guided tour of Dalat today. First stop is The Crazy House, with its unique twists and turns, roofs and rooms - it's an architectural jigsaw puzzle. Continue on to Dalat Railway Station and take a 7km ride on the restored locomotive to Trai Mat village. Soak up the majestic scenery, with Dalat's unique greenhouses and beautiful flower gardens. Visit the striking Linh Phuoc Pagoda, which features a huge golden Buddha statue and also boasts a great bell tower with one of Vietnamās largest cast bronze bells. Lastly today take in the stunning views from Langbian Mountain and hear about the legend of love surrounding the mountain.
Please note: The train only departs when thereāre 20 passengers, if numbers arenāt reached, you will drive to Trai Mat.
day 6 - Nha Trang
Dalat - Nha Trang. Travel on to Nha Trang today, famed for its white sandy beaches, with up to 7km in length azure blue water and more than 200 islands offshore. Arriving in the early afternoon, hotel check in and spend the afternoon at leisure.
day 7 - Nha Trang island cruise
Enjoy a day of relaxation on a cruise on the clear blue waters around the islands off the coast of Nha Trang. Cruise past islands and arrive at Mini Beach where you can either go swimming, kayaking, snorkeling. Alternatively, just relax under the big trees, enjoying the stunning views of the bay. Then enjoy a tasty set lunch back onboard. After lunch, visit a fishing village and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Then cruise back to Nha Trang Harbour passing Vung Ngan floating village and Vinpearl Island, before catching a glimpse of the Bao Dai Villas as you return to the mainland.
day 8 - Mui Ne Beach
Nha Trang - Phan Thiet. After breakfast, depart for Phan Thiet and Mui Ne beach, stopping en route to visit Po Klong Garai Cham Tower in Phan Rang Town and the Cham Villages of My Nghiep (weaving) and Bau Truc (pottery). Upon arrival, check into your beachfront hotel.
days 9-10 - Mui Ne R&R
Spend the next two days at leisure in Mui Ne, with its lovely white sand beach, built around a charming fishing village. See the famous red and white sand dunes, enjoy a scenic walk to Fairy Spring or visit the 9th century Cham tower for sweeping views of Mui Ne town.
day 11 - Ho Chi Minh City
Phan Thiet - Ho Chi Minh City. After breakfast you'll be transferred to Ho Chi Minh City airport for your onward journey.
