We’ll begin cruising toward the extraordinary Meeting of the Waters, where the yellow, silt-laden waters of the Solimões River—upper course of the Amazon—intertwine with the dark, tea-colored waters of the Rio Negro. For miles, the two rivers flow side by side without mixing, creating a striking ochre-and-black lace across the surface before merging into the powerful Amazon River. We’ll continue our journey upstream along the Rio Solimões. As we cruise, keep an eye out for the rich flora and fauna along the riverbanks. In the middle of the afternoon, you'll head out on a private motorized boat to observe the abundant wildlife and lush vegetation up close. We’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail.
