Venture into the heart of the Kaçkar Highlands and discover the untamed beauty of the Black Sea on the Black Sea Highland Tour. Crafted for young adults and experienced travelers, this six-day boutique trip takes you far from urban crowds into a world of waterfalls, rivers, ancient castles, and stone bridges. You’ll visit 14 breathtaking sites, each highlighting the region’s natural marvels and rich history. Alongside scenic exploration, you’ll meet highland locals, listen to the soulful sounds of the tulum (bagpipe), and join in traditional horon dancing, all while savoring organic Black Sea cuisine. The trip offers flexibility, allowing you to customize your itinerary to include popular spots like Uzungol or Karagol. The tour’s unique selling point is its authentic cultural encounters in remote highland communities—an ideal choice for travelers seeking genuine experiences off the beaten path. day 1 - Welcome to Black Sea

We receive you at Rize Artvin Airport (RZV) and transfer you to the hotel. You need to be ready for the tour tomorrow.

day 2 - Explore Ayder, Avusor, Huser Highlands

We start our journey by exploring one of the most popular destinations in Turkey, Ayder Highland.

See the Gelintülü Waterfall, stop by local restaurant to have popular local food “Muhlama”, and go higher to Gallerdüzü to see the beautiful forest. You can also visit Ayder Thermal Bath for a relaxing dip. Tar River and Bulut waterfalls, located just a few kilometers apart, are also major highlights in this area.

Then, drive up to Avusor Highland to check out the Avusor Lake and enjoy a beautiful hike in the surrounding area. Interact with local inhabitants and learn more about their culture and lifestyle, before driving further up to Huser Highland.

While in Huser, enjoy a ride on a swing set atop a hill and enjoy the beautiful view of the "Huser Cloud Sea." The site is also a great location to see lovely sunset views. There is options between to camping in Huser Highland, or enjoying the hospitality of a local family at their home.

day 3 - Explore Pokut and Sal Highlands

Have a nice highland breakfast in Huser and then drive to Çamlıhemşin and Şenyuva Village. See the historical bridges there and stop by popular Çinçiva Cafe before driving up to Sal and Pokut Highlands.

In Sal Highland, check out the original wooden highland houses and stop by at a local cafe to taste the original sucuk or yayla sütlacı (highland pudding). Next, hike to Pokut Highland through a forest route, and up a mountain.

Once in Pokut, enjoy a hike around the area. Maybe, visit the other side of the valley in Pokut, or spend some peaceful time among nature. You can also watch beautiful sunset views from Sunset Cafe and go interact with local highland shepherds to learn about their lifestyle.

Stay at very nice family-run highland wooden hotel. Have Mrs. Ayse’s delicious local dinner and do not forget to taste the delicious Yayla Sütlaç. Listen to local music played on a traditional bagpipe called "Gayda" or "Tulum" and practice local dance called “Horon” with the local highlanders.

day 4 - Explore Hazindağ, Amlakit, Palovit, Trovit, Elevit High

After a nice breakfast in Pokut , set out to Hazindağ Highland by crossing peaceful forests. Hike around Hazindağ, stop at a highland cafe and meet with local people, before driving to Amlakit Higland.

Spend some time exploring Amlakit, enjoy a local lunch and refresh yourself in the river that cuts through the highland.

In the afternoon, head toward Palovit Highland, spend some time there and move to Trovit Highland and then finally Elevit Highland.

day 5 - Discover Çad, Çiçekli, Gito, and Badara Highlands

After a nice highland breakfast in Elevit, drive to the beautiful Çad Valley. See the popular Çad Arch Bridge, walk along the river, stop by cafe near the river and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Head to Çiçekli Highland next to check out its historical castle Kale-i Bala and then drive back to Çad Valley and to Boxwood Forest on our way to Gito. Enjoy a peaceful hike through the forest and calming river for a while.

Next, drive up to Badara Highland. First, home to the exquisite Badara lake. After stopping at the lake for some time, head to Gito Highland.

In the evening, participate in local dance (Horon) and enjoy some Tulum tunes, and interact with locals. O

day 6 - Explore Zilkale, Polovit Waterfall and Airport Transfer

Today is the last of our tour. Based on your flight schedule, spend some time in Gito. Then, drive back to Boxwood Forest and then to Palovit Watefall.

Spend some time at the beautiful Palovit Waterfall, before driving to Zilkale Castle. Take a tour of this historical castle from the 3rd century BC and drive to Çamlıhemşin, where we will make a quick stop at a local bazaar to shop for souvenirs, and drive to RZV airport to catch our flights.
