Itinerary

GROUP TOUR (FOR AGES 18 - 49): Travel from Canggu to Ubud on this 12-day youth tour of Bali that also takes in the rural retreat of Lovina and the tropical Gili Islands. Discover ancient temples, meet local people and learn how to surf Canggu's epic waves. Spot dolphins on an included cruise, relax on the beaches of Gili T and explore the island on a bicycle tour. Snorkel with turtles on a Gili Islands boat trip, trek to the summit of a volcano at sunrise and visit Ubud's famous Monkey Forest. Plus enjoy plenty of beach time, and the odd night out (or three)!

day 1 - Canggu

Upon your arrival in Bali after a long flight, we will be at the airport to greet you and transport you to the hotel. You'll have ample time to relax, unwind, and get acquainted with the other members of your group. We'll get together with the group for a welcome dinner at around 19:00, so you can get to know everyone before our adventure begins tomorrow.

Please note: This tour is designed for younger travellers looking for a backpacker-style experience and to meet like-minded people. The average age on this tour is around 21 - 35, and we are unfortunately unable to take any travellers over the age of 49. day 2 - Exploring Canggu

Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Bali as we explore stunning ancient temples, participate in a Bahasa language lesson, and learn how to create a Canang Sari, a traditional local offering. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a breathtaking sunset at a beach club before getting ready for an exciting night out!

day 3 - Learning to Surf

Canggu is one of the world's top surfing destinations, and today, we'll head to the beach for an included surf lesson with local Balinese instructors. There's plenty of time to put your new skills to the test as you do your best to catch a wave or two - good luck!

day 4 - Canggu to Lovina

Canggu - Lovina. Today, we are heading to the lesser-known natural wonder of Lovina, an unspoiled paradise with breathtaking rice paddies and traditional culture. Along the way, we will explore intriguing temples, take a refreshing dip under a waterfall, and admire the beautiful rice paddies. On arrival, we’ll settle into our private villa nestled high in the mountains, surrounded by rice paddies with a view of the ocean.

day 5 - Dolphin Spotting & Local Life

We visit a local family to learn the traditional art of basket weaving, offering a fascinating insight into everyday Balinese life. We then step aboard a traditional outrigger boat to cruise along the coastline in search of wild dolphins. Later, there’s time to relax - the infinity pool at our luxury villa provides the perfect setting to unwind.

day 6 - Lovina to Gili T

Lovina - Gili Trawangan. Leaving Bali behind, we'll take a fast ferry to the breathtaking island of Gili T, known for its stunning white sands, car-free streets and turquoise waters. This afternoon, you'll have free time to relax, explore the island, and soak up the sun. In the evening, we'll venture out to enjoy a magical sunset and experience the vibrant island nightlife!

day 7 - Gili T by Bike

Since Gili T has no motorized vehicles, we will explore the island by bicycle today - the island is only six square kilometres in size, so it won't take us long to cycle around it! After our bike ride, there is free time for you to kick back on its white sandy beaches, and enjoy a stunning sunset!

day 8 - Gili Islands Boat Trip

Gili T is the largest of the three islands that make up the Gili archipelago. On today's included boat trip, we will see the stunning coastline of the other two islands, with plenty of time for swimming and snorkelling. If we're lucky, we might spot a sea turtle, or some of the Gili Islands' other incredible wildlife.

day 9 - Back to Bali

Gili Trawangan - Ubud. Say farewell to our island paradise as we take the ferry back to Bali, and head to our accommodation in Ubud. The rest of today is at leisure in the town.

day 10 - Monkey Forest

Today, we'll visit the renowned Monkey Forest, an ancient temple nestled in the rainforest, inhabited by hundreds of wild monkeys that you can observe up close. After our visit, the rest of today is free for you to head out and further explore Ubud at your own pace,

day 11 - Sunrise Volcano Trek

We rise early this morning with an incredible trek up a volcano (either Batur or Agung). Witness a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise while having breakfast at the summit. Return by mid-morning and relax with a soothing and rejuvenating massage, just what is needed after an arduous morning hike!

day 12 - Ubud

Our tour comes to an end today. You can depart this morning, making your own way to the airport or your next destination. Although there is no departure transfer included, your tour leader will be available to help you plan your onward travel and is on hand to assist you. Safe travels!
