Backstreets of Hanoi & Halong Bay - 5 days

Welcome to Vietnam and the beginning of your adventure in the captivating city of Hanoi!

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. With the rest of the day at your leisure, take the opportunity to relax and explore Hanoi at your own pace.

Start your day with a taxi ride to a local street market in the Northwest part of the city, brimming with lush trees and vibrant plants. Meet your local guide and embark on a leisurely stroll through the urban landscape, exploring smaller pathways that lead to a charming district reminiscent of 1980s Hanoi.

Discover a hidden coffee shop tucked away in an alley, then hop onto taxi-motorbikes for an exhilarating ride through small streets and alongside Ho Tay Lake. Enjoy a street lunch in a local backyard.

In the afternoon, stroll past the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (entrance not included) and Hung Vuong Avenue to reach the Temple of Literature. Continue your adventure with a bus ride to Hoa Lo Prison, followed by a relaxing glass of fresh local beer while admiring the Friendship Palace. Conclude your day with a taxi ride back to the hotel.

Hanoi - Halong Bay. Today, you will be transferred to one of Vietnam's most treasured gems, Halong Bay, often dubbed the 'Jewel in the Crown of Vietnam'.

Upon arrival, you will board your boat for a captivating cruise around the 3,000 islets that emerge from the pristine emerald waters. This region boasts some of Vietnam's most spectacular scenery. Bizarre rock formations rise dramatically from the sea, and sails of traditional junk boats and sampans only add to the picturesque allure.

After lunch on board, set sail, exploring the bay's wonders and stopping to visit intriguing caves and perhaps enjoy in a refreshing swim at one of the pristine beaches. As the day draws to a close, enjoy dinner on board while being treated to the sun setting over the bay. The evening is yours to unwind onboard the anchored junk boat.

Halong Bay - Hanoi. Rise and shine! Wake up bright and early for one of the most memorable experiences in Vietnam: witnessing the sunrise over the beauty of Halong Bay. After brunch, continue your leisurely cruise through the bay, soaking in the breathtaking scenery.

The boat returns back to the wharf, arriving around midday. From there, transfer back to Hanoi, passing through the picturesque rural countryside of the Red River Delta along the way. The night will be spent at leisure in Hanoi.

Today marks the end of your touring arrangements. After breakfast and hotel check out, make your own way to the airport for your departing flight, or contact us to pre-book a departure transfer. Safe travels!
