About Ozgur

Hello! My name is Ozgur Ates and I am originally from Turkey. I currently live in Istanbul. A little bit more about me: I am 40 years old, married, and a father of a delightful 2 years old baby :) I have been working in the travel industry for more than 20 years and have visited all parts of my country. I can proudly say that Istanbul, Cappadocia and Ephesus are my favorite places in Turkey. I also love to travel and have visited Spain, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Malaysia, Dubai, England, and the USA. In Instanbul, I work as the general manager of a tour company specializing in many popular tour types, including small group tours and private tours, cruises, and city tours all around the country. Every time I visit a city, I dream about how I can help attract more tourists to these amazing places and how I can create the tour itineraries perfectly.

As I mentioned, I live in Istanbul and as a local and a travel expert, I know the city very well! I specialize in all kinds of tours and activities all around Istanbul including history, culture, shopping, cooking, local markets, nightlife, eco-tours, and more. I also have expertise in many other areas of the country. For instance, I travel to Cappadocia very often and I have lots of experience with trips and activities in the region, including biking and walking tours, hot air balloon tours, ATV and Jeep safari tours, and many others. As a travel designer, I specialize in tailor-made tour package requests to Istanbul, Bursa, Cappadocia, Mugla, Bodrum, Antalya, Marmaris, Fethiye, Pamukkale, Kas, Kusadasi, Ephesus, Sirince, Izmir, Canakkale, Gallipoli, Troy, etc.

Ozgur's Best Travel Experience

I have traveled around almost all of Turkey and one of my most memorable experiences was in Cappadocia. While there, I went on a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. It was truly incredible to see the magical landscape of Cappadocia from the air, combined with the sunrise and hundreds of balloons floating nearby. I took more than 300+ photos in just 45 minutes! After that experience, I make sure to recommend this activity to all of our customers so they can share this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
